I can produce some Stingray corvettes for you, if that would be what you're looking for. I use them for my coast guard.SiegeTank wrote:Well, if I'm going to do this coast guard thing I might as well do it properly- so who's selling mid-shore and in-shore patrol vessels again? Fast attack craft are preferred, and they don't have to have SAM launchers aboard: think coast guard work. The worst they'll be fighting is pirates with RPGs.
I'm not going to lie to you, I just made up the prices for those ships, Gizmonic is willing to listen to market demands, and stop price gouging.SiegeTank wrote:I know that a while back both Karmic Knight and Shinn Langley Soryu advertised some of the types of ships that I'd be interested in, but there were some really odd price differences between the aforementioned ships- Karmic sold a Gepard for 300 million, whereas Shinn sold it for 60. Now I'm all for buying local, but one ship for the price of five is pushing it ;).
Bah, Cascadia has endured "MESS encirclement" for a century plus and you don't see us complaining! Quit yer bitchin'.Coyote wrote:There'll be more fallout from the CATO announcement, since I decided it'd be good drama to make my Nationalists really paranoid about "SNC encirclement". Drama ahoy!
Heh, I think Cascadia should start leaning toward CATO.Steve wrote:Bah, Cascadia has endured "MESS encirclement" for a century plus and you don't see us complaining! 8) Quit yer bitchin'.
HoI? All Google gets me is hoi polloi and something to do with Insane Clown Posse's House of Illusions. Whatever the fuck that is...Karmic Knight wrote:Also, Steve, how did you get anywhere with that SDN World mod for HoI?
Hearts of Iron, it is a strategy game by Paradox Interactive, if I am remembering reality correctly, Steve found a flag editor for said game, and mentioned making a mod with the nations of SDN world.Ryan Thunder wrote:HoI? That works fine for me. It's 600 tonnes but I guess I could up to 800 tonnes... I ran by the Visby's tonnage as a reference.SiegeTank wrote:Fingolfin, I'd like to license the design of the Newark so that Coilerburg Iron Works can produce them, that way the deal nets Coilerburg not just nice ships, but also expertise with modern shipbuilding and a stimulus for the local economy.
What is the weapons loadout you want?SiegeTank wrote:Okay, so here's the shopping list for the budding North Frequesuan Coast Guard:
4x Evolved River class offshore patrol vessel (ALASKA)
Evaluation/Off-shore patrol
The standard kit will do: the same 25mm caliber is mounted on the Legend class, and 12.7mm ammo is a common enough round as well. We'll buy a whole bunch of those containers for evaluation purposes, I'm particularly interested in the Netfires and the UAV launch system, both of which sound like they'd be useful for the kind of light skirmishes the NFCG will be conducting. CAAM I'll pass on though, if I'll need air defense I'll pack a few Mistral launchers aboard. I take it the rear deck can support medium-sized helicopters? Because that'd make it excellent for operating in conjunction with the Legend.MariusRoi wrote:What is the weapons loadout you want?
Shroom, if no one wants them, we can keep them for use within CATO.Shroom Man 777 wrote:High-altitude blimps and zeppelins that act as something between ground-based antennae and space-based communications satellites, capable of covering wide areas with their signals and waves. It's a system that's not as expensive as a satellite, though it's nearly as good as 'em and works together with sats and ground-based antennae.
And they can be used for military purposes, weather watching purposes, surveillance, and other cool stuff too!
High-altitude rocket launches? Does anyone remember my Kirov Air Ship project? I was gonna build those babies with some badass rockets and perhaps bombs(FOAB's). But I dropped the project because it seemed unrealistic.PeZook wrote:Yeah, they'd be nice to complement our military early warning and communications systems.
And we should see if they can be adapted for high-altitude rocket launches, perhaps?
I meant rockets as in "orbital launch vehicles", rather than actual combat missilesDarthShady wrote: High-altitude rocket launches? Does anyone remember my Kirov Air Ship project?
Well, me and Beo already discussed and did some initial planning on a similar setup for AEW using some USAF plan or other. I don't remember where we went with that but in any case, I probably wouldn't need them for that.Shroom Man 777 wrote:High-altitude blimps and zeppelins that act as something between ground-based antennae and space-based communications satellites, capable of covering wide areas with their signals and waves.
