There's nothing to stop you from going beyond what the point system set. These days, we are so bloody militarised, that the point sysetm is irrelevant.

Hey Seigetank, given all the assassination attempts and possible bio terror outbreaks I imagine it will probably be a while before Hank gets a chance to to visit Indhopal to discuss those projects we talked about via PM. Just wanted to remind you about the visit.

On another note all the talk bout stealth vs. detection makes my head hurt. There's a reason I stick to plots in third world nations and so forth rather than delve into subjects that are purposefully obfuscated by those who practice it like electronic warfare and stealth aircraft design/detection!

But yeah, don't bother with the points system. Look stuff up on wikipedia and what not to get a general idea of what you can get for your GDP and just go with that.

EDIT: Also, I thought I'd make it clear - OOC - that the substance released in the Tri-Cities is a chemical weapon, not a biological one. It's the final missing cylinder of the weaponized compound stolen from a SiNtek ship years ago, the stuff San Dorado fought a miniature war on the Costa over to get back. I don't think you'd be able to tell it apart from Astarian zombie fever at first glance so precautions are very much warranted, but this substance is a nerve agent, not a pathogen. So there's no chance of infection beyond the contaminated area, no chance of a pandemic or anything of the kind.

Stealth never decreases resolution. It will always decrease detection range.

Okay, so if an OTH radar can pick out a ballistic missile head flying at a particular range, which has neglible RCS (and has essentially no outstanding features to speak of), so can it pick out a bomber, no matter the crappy resolution. I have not heard of the B-2 being somehow immune to detection by OTH radars.

Why outside? The missiles can traverse the atmosphere (especially ballistic RVs and/or low flying cruise missiles).

And large over the horizon PARs like the Daryal certainly are bistatic. Maybe I'm confusing something here. In Russian, the larger EW arrays are also considered over-the-horizon (nadgorizontniy) versus beyond-the-horizon (zagorizontniy)...

Well, Crossroads at least hasn't claimed to start a war from the beginning of his nation's existence. And in any case, it's not like we cared so much about Czech joining the MESS. More about Czech even existing.

CATO requires due process to join. We're actually somewhat curtailing our "openness" because there is some fear of technological leaks. There are some rules, you know, CATO isn't a free for all.

For another, I think Czechmate has done more than enough to warrant some serious concern from CATO members when it's made clear that he wants his next nation to sit right off the coast of the Old Continent. I'll have you note that the moment Czechmate's islands got moved way over to the coast of Tian Xia or wherever the fuck, the complaints evaporated and he's free to do whatever. Do you see any of Crossroads' islands sitting off the coast of Messica? No? Then what are you making comparisons about?

And third and finally, whoever the fuck said anything about the Crossroads joining CATO anyway? Is that even anything but a vaguely uttered possibility right now? Didn't we reach an agreement about due process when it comes to membership of the great alliances way the fuck back in the days?
