Special agent Chadov was barely breathing after the explosives went off and he finally won the intense firefight with the guards of that Shepistani dog. The mansion was destroyed, the former Shepistani ring coordinator - dead.

Getting out from here would be a harder task than getting in, but he already planned his escape from these shores. The survivor had a personal business jet resting in a small hanger nearby.

- Filthy criminal bought a supersonic plane while the rest of the world was in awe from the biological horror that his nation unleashed, - Alexey thought, - how typical... how unsurprising. Well, he won't be needing it any longer.

But Alexey gathered very important information. It was so important that he didn't trust anyone and headed straight back to Livorno. He still had time. He had to get someone high enough, without alerting other government types. Former President Stanislav was apparently in the Duchy of Baerne; it could be Alexey's chance to relay the knowledge that he considered of utmost importance.

Duchy of Baerne

- Duke James, thank you for personally inviting me for a talk, - the former President said. - It is all the more important now that the forces from Livorno are being stationed at your port facilities. Incidentally, I hope the Union sailors don't cause any trouble during their stay.

- I thought you found monarchy an outdated and obsolete social construct, - the Duke noted with a dry smile, - and your nation is not appreciating monarchists.

- Between the monarchist who buys our weapons and the other monarchist who supplies weapons to our enemies, stopping shortly from becoming a direct enemy, which monarchist do you think the UCSR should have chosen? - Stanislav laughed. - I like to talk open. Of course, I find monarchy obsolete and in general a social evil that has only been fully cured in our great nation, blah blah blah, revolution blah blah blah and so on and so forth. However, there is the matter of expediency and respect as I'm sure you know. In the FTO, amongst failed regimes, hostile elements, paramilitaries, terrorists and colonial pawns, there's hardly many nations which could serve as worthwhile allies - and you and the NFT are pillars of stability in Frequesue, no matter if we fully agree on your social structure. Surely you don't think that we are working with San Dorado as our partner in the CATO because we are approving of their capitalist ways? But there are things greater than ideology, as you have found out recently. After all, Tian Xia had no ideological allegiance to any forces in Frequesue whatsoever, and yet it found it expedient to mess here through the hands of others.

- You messed quite a lot here back in the day, - reminded the Duke.

- Quite so, dear James, quite so, but I am not feeling ashamed of my actions. They were necessary for the well-being of my people. I am sure you understand that. You have to protect your people because Frequesue, especially it's central regions, have been an orgy of never-ending, slowly creeping violence since the onset of the XXI century. In any case, you can count on us as allies. After all, the Crimson Star Republic once made an error of leaving it's ally hang out dry, with much humiliation following afterwards. It won't happen again, that is certain.

- We are certainly appreciating the CATO partnerships, - the Duke said. - However, you said you had some further proposals... or was it "ideas"?

- Call it "ideas", - Stanislav shrugged. - I'm just a visitor. You see, there are ongoing political developments in Frequesue that are rapidly changing the balance of power here. The MESS couldn't be blind to that. The FTO collapse and CATO rise caught them pants down, so to say. They were alerted like a bear who was woken from a deep sleep... thankfully, that is now partly mitigated by the diplomatic efforts of President Shady and Emperor Heraclius. You are a major CATO arms client, but the economic cooperation between Frequesue and the Old Continent so far has been lacking. Moreover, your heavily industrial society is rapidly consuming natural resources to power your industrial centers. And here's where CATO comes into play. The UCSR recently advanced construction on floating nuclear powerplants. They could be a hot thing - easily attainable, cheap megawatts without construction works and other expenses associated with constructing new nuclear plants. They would also allow you to power up new energy grids in the planned city of Mereen. As a bonus, I am sure you understand, those objects could be placed under protection by the most modern CATO air defense systems - because nuclear plants should be well-defended.

- We'll think about it... anything else?

- Your timber industries, - Stanislav crossed fingers. - Many forest zones in the Old Continent are declared off-hands due to ecological reasons. I'm giving you a hint that timber exports to lands not rich in forests, specifically Byzantium and it's Middle Eastern satellite nations, could be quite eager to get good deals...

Suddenly Stanislav's phone called.

- Excuse me. It's... - Stanislav checked the line. - Valery? What the hell? Ah... it's... okay. I'll see you after the meeting.

"I must say," President Shady said, looking at the old Georgian-style Capitol "I am mildly surprised. For a bunch of reactionaries you have had a legislative branch longer than I thought."

Lonestar grinned. "Ronaldus Magnus, Ronald the Great, established one of the first all-inclusive legislatures in the World in the late 1500s. Not a bloody house of lords or Estates General, but rather one that include all citizens. We were also THE first nation to grant equal citizenship to woman, which was during the lifetime of Ronaldus Magnus."

"Strange that an Monarch would be willing to dilute his power so…"

"The right man at the right time. Mass armies were hitting it big and Ronaldus Magnus realized that the age of Gentlemen-warriors was coming to an end. He also believed that if the people gave service to the state, the State was obliged to grant them a say in how things were run." Lonestar grinned again "Of course, he didn't give away all of the Lord Protector's powers. The House of Burgesses cannot deny a Executive Branch ministerial appointment, and the Legislature cannot introduce budgetary items, the Lord Protector does. They can only vote on it. Still, they can always vote 'no' and play chicken with the budget. It happens on occasion."

"Well, I appreciate the tour." President Shady said "It's a welcome diversion from the normal affairs of state. Honestly, I don't know as much about the Old Dominion as I should."

"A hazard of the OD being on Shepland. We call it the 'tyranny of distance'. We fought on the allied side during WW2 but our contribution to the defeat of the Shadow Empire was minimal, we were too busy fighting the Shepistanis…"

Results:Well Shady, I'm out of ideas. I'm ready to wrap this visit up if you are...

Tian Xia asks for ability to station cutters at Port Nike

Due to the increased pirate threat in North Frequesque, the Tian Xia government has asked for the ability to station Revenue Service cutters at Port Nike in order to conduct anti-piracy patrols. The newly built cutters from Langley are apparently the favored choice for stationing there.

[ooc]I'm pretty sure this was mentioned in the PMs, and acknowledged as part of the deal in civilianizing Port Nike but I'm going to actually ask permission here.[/ooc]

F-22s from Byzantium finish remanufacturing

The F-22s were bought from Byzantium after the precipitious departure of that nation from the MESS. The first of these aircraft have completed remanufacture and upgrade to TXAF F-22B standard. They have begun filtering into TXAF's wings.

TXRS declares Coilerburger cutters unsuitable for service

The TXRS has eliminated the first of the four contenders for the TXRS Fast Patrol Cutter. The TXRS has cryptically refused to state the conditions of the elimination, but it's likely due to the rapid deterioration in relations between the Northe Frequesque Trust and Tian Xia.

Tian Xia gifts ships to the ASFR

A total of eight ships have been gifted. There are two corvettes that were rejected from Tian Xia service, as well as the 6 modernized Perry-class frigates that have been sitting in mothballs, since they were replaced by the FG-63 class ships.

C-46 begins production

Full rate production has begun on all variants of the C-46.

C-130 replacement?

The TXAF has apparently been looking for a C-130 replacement. Exact details are still unknown, but it's likely to be powered by a pair of jet engines, as opposed to the turboprops that power the C-130.

Nexus City Naval Base

LCDR Iga Anders of the PeZookian navy winced as a mine went off in the harbor. ODN CA101s were criss-crossing the harbor, dragging minesweeping sleds behind them in an attempt to expedite the re-opening of the Port of Nexus City. Until the port was re-opened, all aid would have to trickle in through airfields or Baden.

She shook her head and looked at the wrecked navalships up and down the waterfront. Her liaison, a ODN LT named Ǽlfred, had told her that after the nuclear strike, and as the coalition forces closed in on Nexus City, thousands of the locals had looted the wrecks, many of which were potentially recoverable. Not any more. Just from the electrical cabling removed the price of copper had dropped almost 60% in Sirnoth. The universal assessment of the Coalition specialists was to scrap the entire Sirnothi navy and start anew.

"You should be happy Iga," Ǽlfred said "A PeZookian firm is getting the two Sirnothi CVs, although God alone knows how they'll get them to the scrapyard. Maybe tow them up river and scrap them here?" Ǽlfred shrugged. "A good chunk of cash is waiting..."

"Is the plan to rebuild Nexus City Naval Base then?" Iga asked.

"I'm just a dumbass Oh-Three, but I'd say so, yeah. Baden is the only other place that's would be available, and RUMINT is that the Navy is going to get it under the new SOFA."

"Already planning a SOFA?"

"Going to have to, as long as Coalition forces are taking part in security operations." Ǽlfred shrugged himself. "II Corps and the Shinra X Corps are already leaving, and the Sirnothi Army is going to do a parade for the PCA here in a couple of weeks. Maybe them we'll finally find out who this mysterious chairman of the committee is..."

Results: Recovery efforts continue in Sirnoth.

NFT conditionally agrees to temporary stationing of Tian Xian cutters at Port Nike

The Commission on Business and Justice has conditionally agreed to the Tian Xian request for permission to station cutters of the civilian Revenue Service at Port Nike in the Northern WIlderness. The CBJ requests that Tian Xia cooperate with the North Frequesuan Coast Guard in all its operations in the region, and ceases all operations as soon as the threat ceases to exist, or after one year.

King Brandon begins The Trimonarchial Trust Tour in the AFSR
James Oglethorpe

With the TX-NFT-USCR Spat over Port Nike now over and done with, King Brandon, and the Trimonachy as a whole, have decided to begin the Tour that was planned months ago as a post-conference tour, but was delayed following the failure of the conference. The Tour is now back on, with King Brandon meeting with President Carlotta Pisano in the AFSR capital of Livorno.

Brandon was able to give a nice speech to the public in the former USCR naval base, and presented a message of cooperation, pointing to the bridge and rail programs operated by the Vineyards and AFSR together. The speech was otherwise the usual fare of a speech by the King of Vineyards, simple and to the point. It is interesting that he did not once reference CATO or the USCR during the speech, but that is it.

...

Livorno, AFSR

(OOC: Shady, if you want to add any private dealings between the Commonwealth and the AFSR do so, as I just planned the TTT to be a goodwill tour so I've completed my goals in the AFSR.)
This is an empty country and I am it's king, and I should not be allowed to touch anything.

Facilities, not funds, limiting the ODN
As over 2 dozen ODN warships return in need for yard time at once, the facilities in the Old Dominion have found themselves overwhelmed.

"Many of the yards are already working full time on new construction," A Navy Department spokesperson said "And the sheer number of hardworked warships returning from the Sirnoth conflict has pushed the facilities over the edge."

Indeed, all vessels frigate-size and smaller have been diverted to Fincantieri in Augustine, while 2 DDGs, one AOE, and two CGs have been diverted to yards in Wilkonia and the Shinra Republic. One LPD has been diverted to a yard in Serenity…[More]

Did the ODN buy lemons?
Ares Blog has learned that the two former Byzantine STAR DDGNs purchased by the ODN have received a less-than-stellar INSURV rating from the IG's office. The two warships, the Elizabeth City and Arlington are currently tied alongside the combatant tender Wythe County in Souda Bay, Crete, being brought up to ODN standards.

The INSURV report states that the Vessels are louder than expected, hindering ASW operations, the Byzantine sonar dome is less sensitive than expected, power distribution is poorly designed("The loadcenters look like something from the '70s", one PO on a condition of anonymity commented), 30% of the VLS cells on both ships failed timing tests, and the helicopter recovery and assist gear in non-functional. The Navy Department has no comment on these allegations…[More]

2 new AEHF satellites lift off on Conrad III Rocket
MSA Dominion has launched two new AEHF "Mercury" satellites into orbit, bringing the total constellation to 4. The planned constellation size is 6 Mercury satellites to aid in the explosion of UAV use throughout the MESS. These are replacing the older Dominion MILSTAR satellites and the hundreds of very lightweight Tian Xia LEO COMSATs….[More]

Laptops for kids!

The Department of Education has unveiled a new project aimed at giving every school kid a laptop for use starting at grade 5. The DoE has contracted with Hell Computer, Inc, to provide a Altitude 2100 laptop to every middle school child. The Altitude 2100 has a anti-microbial keyboard, a rubberized case, and internal ruggedization to help withstand the abuse that children can wreck on a laptop. Documents disclosed show a cost of $8000 per classroom.

OrbCom announces Series 3 satellite

The Series 3 satellites are backwards compatible with existing equipment, thus allowing older equipment to continue to work. However, it provides enhanced bandwidth and lower latency, enabling effective voice communication to now be established.

UCSR, Vladimir
Upon his return from the Duchy of Baerne, former President Stanislav went to meet the person who tried to contact him. He only approved of a personal meeting and inside the UCSR borders. He didn't want to take any chances that the subjects of this talk would surface anywhere and at any time.

Stanislav slowly looked at Alexey. It was a long while ago when he last met the man, who now probably had more diversions and murders than half of the PCIA special operatives combined.

- You're positively sure?

- These records indicate that the ultimate fate of Al-Sheppard remains unknown. Until the very end of Shepistan itself, he seemed to survive. And after that, everything is concealed by the Old Dominion. It is unsettling, to say the least. If the war criminal is alive, comrade...

- He may be, but we shouldn't rush to judgement. But in case he is... - the former President clenched teeth. - The Old Dominion will have some explaining to do. A lot of it actually.

- To be fair, sooner or later someone will get him, - the rogue agent took a smoke. - I don't know who. Me? Maybe, who knows. Someone else? Maybe, there's just so many people who have issues with Shepistan.

- All the knowledge you gathered should be kept in reserve and limited. If even some of these rumors are true, and the Old Dominion really has that criminal alive, it might play into our game, - Stanislav's smile was sinister. - There's nothing that can ruin your image as covering war criminals. It becomes the lot of pariah states... and if one of them is in the MESS, that won't do any wonders to it's image.

- Anything else, comrade?

- I shall issue a formal letter to the President, recommending the award of the Hero of the Union for you, Alexey, for the operation in Svalbardia, considering also your earlier missions which were executed without fail, as well as promotion to the rank of colonel, - Stanislav gave the agent a slight nod. - Just don't lose it, comrade, you swore allegiance to the crimson banner, remember it. Don't let your personal vendettas take over your main priorities.

The Parade Grounds of Gawilghur, Nexus City

The fortress had once been the base of the Sheppoo Sultan of Sirnoth, before the crusading orders of the Dominion and Augustine arrived to topple the Shepistani kingdoms. With the destruction of so many government buildings in the war, the PCA had moved into Gawilghur.

Part of the problem with the occupation was that worry of widespread retribution by the Sheppish(and remaining Dominionite) minorities against the Sirnothi population. The PCA had moved swiftly, declaring that they would continue to employ any capable Sirnothi soldier that showed a willingness to rebuild a new united Sirnoth. While keeping the Sirnothi Army busy a huge war crimes investigation was ongoing, wedding out the worst offenders from the Sirnothi Army. New units were being created, such as the Seringapatam Rifles, a regiment created from Sheppish Paramilitaries part of the SLA. The Seringapatam Rifles were on review in the Parade Ground of Gawilghur. One by one members of the PCA committee came out onto the reviewing stand, then finally the Chief Executive, who showed his face for the first time.

Image
There was a murmur in the crowd, the man began to speak.

"Good afternoon, my name is Rhee Anh Sheppard, formerly of the SRGC. You may know my younger brother Al-Sheppard…"

Royal Palace
"Rhee Anh Sheppard? No one is going to believe that." Berman said, watching the video feed.

"Al-Sheppard had over 13 brothers, that we know of." Blitzschlag said. "It isn't inconceivable that we found another member of the Sheppard family tree somewhere. I'm sure that he didn't strangle them all."

"And what happens when people ask questions about putting the 'brother' of a war criminal in charge of Sirnoth?"

"He isn't in charge." Lonestar said. "He just happens to be the Chief Executive of the PCA Committee. And if he gets squirrely we'll simply withhold treatment for the HERV-derivative and he'll be dead within 2 weeks. As for why we stuck him in charge, well…" Lonestar shrugged. "Just tell people that the Sheppish minority needs to have a say in the running of the Sirnoth government, after being oppressed for so long…"

Results:Dun-dun-dun!

First DEATH STAR system brought online
The Directed Engagement and Acquisition To Horizon Synchronous Tracking And Response system, a modification of the STAR system that is found on modern MESS destroyers and cruisers, is a land based system to replace the Land Aegis System - Extended Range. Many LASER systems will be able to be upgrade to DEATH STAR status, though in some cases new sites will be required.

The system consists of an operations center, one or more SPY-3 radars, and multiple missile modules. Typically, all three components are seperated from each other, thus increasing the difficulty of taking out a DEATH STAR system. Missile modules are usually separated, in individual concrete bunkers to harden them against attack. It is capable of taking any of: Mk41, Mk51, or Mk 57 VLS launchers, in any combination. A MIM-116 launcher and laser CIWS provides protection for the radars and operations center.

- Seen the news, comrade? Sheppo military goons in the OD seem to have completely taken over. What is this world going to...
- Rhee Ann Sheppard? - Stanislav managed to quell a mix of anger and laughter that was threatening to break out of his mouth. - Yeah, yeah. That's... that's funny. I mean... how convenient that a brother of a ruthless Sheppish dictator was found just in time to take over things there. How very... Shroomanian of Lonestar. NFT headquarters, downtown San Dorado City

"...meanwhile the results for the first quarter of next year," Iago Morgan droned on, projecting yet another spreadsheet filled with numbers and graphs on the screen. "Look like they are going to be better than we originally anticipated. However if we look here..."

The President groaned inwardly and phased out. Morgan was a great help and had a nigh-unparalleled understanding of the financial markets, but his briefings made the bone-dry deserts of Inner Velaria look lush and moist by comparison. Sidney was about to politely ask him to get to the point when the a polite knock on the door signaled the entry of an aide.

"Sirs, ma'ams, sorry to interrupt but the Dominion just announced who the new Chief Executive of Sirnoth is..." the man said, taking the remote. "I figured you wanted to see this for yourselves." Iago's spreadsheets disappeared to make place for a news feed, the familiar logo of Worldwide One in the upper left corner of the screen. The live feed came from several timezones away, where an oddly familiar-looking man in a brown army uniform was giving a televised speech. The aide flicked on the sound just in time to hear the man speak:

"...afternoon, my name is Rhee Anh Sheppard, formerly of the SRGC. You may know my younger brother Al-Sheppard…"

"Ree Ahn?" the President asked incredulously. "Oh dear..."

Nexus City International Airport

Immediately after the nuclear strike on Nexus City Naval Base, the personnel for the various Sirnothi airlines had rushed out and removed the engines from their airliners and left them sitting on the Tarmac. It was a very clear sign that they weren't going anywhere, and Coalition ACC determined that there was no need to target passenger liners in the aerial campaign. As a result the Sirnothi civil aviation came through the war more or less intact, and the airport was already busier than the months leading up to the Cortes regime.

A Tonkin Air 777 pulled up to the gate and disgorged it's passengers. The Sirnothi security agents inwardly groaned: Folks arriving form outside the MESS had to be fingerprinted, by order of the PCA. And here came 400-ish new folks to clog up the already overwhelmed customs checkpoint.

Edward Woodstock, a Sirnothi security guard grumbled as a well dressed man of Sheppish descent came up to his desk. Cortes should have killed them first, Woodstock thought. And now there was a Shepistani in charge of the country, and Sheppish refugees were returning to Sirnoth in large numbers.

But this one didn't look like a refugee, he looked like a successful businessman. The man handed over a Japanistani Passport.

"Purpose of visit?" Woodstock asked, flipping through the passport. It was several years old and the first 2 stamps in it were of the Islamic Republic of Shepistan. Then IRT and a handful of garden spots in Valeria and the F-ing continent.

"Business." The Man said.

"Alright Mr. Bhutto," Woodstock's mouth twisted in disgust as he said mister "Please open your baggage."

The man complied and Woodstock saw a sack of gold coins, as well as several thousand ROB Banknotes.

"Did you declare this on your customs form?"

"I did."

Woodstock scowled, looked at the customs form. He did.

"Still suspicious." Woodstock reached in and grabbed 4 clips of ROBs and crammed them into his pocket. Bhutto's eyes glittered dangerously, but he said nothing. Bhutto was then fingerprinted and allowed to proceed.

Diplomatic Note sent to major world leaders

In light of heightened piracy off of the F-ing continent, the Old Dominion would like to provide that a Coalition anti-piracy taskforce be formed. The purpose would be to:

(1)Allow a internationally agreed upon set of ROEs.
(2)Allow a internationally agreed upon jurisdiction for trial.
(3)Ease the inevitable tensions when CATO and MESS warships are operating in the same area.
(4)Allows the cost of piracy suppression to be split among the naval powers, rather than overburdening minor F-ing continent nations.
(5)Allows a unified chain of command so that information in the battlespace can be rapidly disseminated towards vessels on anti-piracy and Maritime Interdiction Operations.

I note that any such Taskforce(what the OD is tentatively calling CJTF-15) will need to have permission to make port calls in the NFT and Port Nike. If everyone contributed 2 or 3 ships to the taskforce it would be very capable indeed. The size of the taskforce could be supplemented by local powers such as the NFT and Tian Xia(beyond what they provide to CJTF-15) if a surge is needed. The Old Dominion is willing to supply 2 surface combatants and 2 RQ-4B BAMS Dominionhawks for it's initial contribution.

The Old Dominion would be more than willing to recognize a non-MESS member Admiral in charge of CJTF-15, specifically a PeZookian, Cascadian, or someone from the UCSR.

Diplomatic note to all interested nations, re: anti-piracy task force

PeZookia would be willing to support the proposed task force with two older Perry-class frigates, as well as maritime patrol aircraft and UAVs.

Should participating nations agree and voice no objections, His Majesty's Government would also present a candidate for the task force's commander, for consideration of all involved nations.

COMMUNIQUE DIPLOMATIQUE

The RPR Canissia would be glad to participate in any anti-piracy taskforce. Portions of the naval element currently engaged in peacekeeping operation sin Costas de los Cincos Muertes can be diverted to the task to begin with, as there is little to no naval activity in the Costas mission.

Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

The Hexagon: Port Victory

The folder was sealed with a stamp bearing the coat of arms of Zoria and sent off along with Legate Birkeland and a few architechs and engineers to the USCR for consideration. The basic plan had been reveiwed in private with numerous Legates and Duces, as well as breifly being let over by both the King and the Minister of Defens. While it had yet to be formally approved by law, it still stood as a ambitious project for Zoria's role in CATO, if it could be approved.

Along with the creation of a strategic base fairly close to Nova Atlantis, a plan had been put forward to establish CATO's foothold onto the largely untaimed continent of Veleria as well as secure Zorian Assets there in case political developments proved to go unfavorably. The plan would have a strategic base for CATO bombers in the Ironridge moutains. As it stood, the plan had not be persued as anything more than an evaluation and could be shelfed at a moment's notice for whatever reason, but it was beleived to be worth a shot by a good number of the higher up's in the Zorian Military.

Diplomatic note to all interested nations, RE: anti-piracy task force

The Union will gladly participate in the proposed anti-piracy task force. Some of the Naval Forces already stationed on the F-Continent could be diverted to this new task force, or if it is necessary, other ships will be dispatched from the motherland. The Union will also second the PeZookian candidate for the task force's commander.

BTR-90M Deal with the Duchy of Langley

90 BTR-90Ms have been sold to the Duchy of Langley, for use by the Duchies marines. This is the second military contract between the Duchy of Langley and the UCSR; in recent times, the other one being the deal for the Moskva class helicarriers, which were delivered to the Duchy recently.

IBNS Heraclius CVBG replaces Shroomanian CVBG in NFT Naval Base

The IBNS Heraclius CVBG replaces the Shroomanian CVBG in the NFT Naval Base. The IBNS Heraclius CVBG and its logistics group of 2 MARS-R and 2 MARS-O replenishment ships and oiler may join in anti-piracy activities.

Portable Container laser from Byzantine Heavy Industries demonstrated.

Byzantine Heavy Industries has demonstrated a full scale prototype of a 100KW laser mounted in a modified 40-foot-long shipping container transportable on a semitrailer. The system demonstrated its capability against in-flight targets and moving ground vehicles. The system is designed to engage rocket, artillery and mortar (RAM) projectiles, shoulder-fired missiles and unmanned aircraft, as well as a variety of ground-mobile tactical targets. The system will likely be adopted by the Byzantine military and its allies.

Picture of New Sirnoth military emerges
Image
The Sirnothi Navy of yesteryear, with two CVs and a hefty amphibious lift, is gone forever, according to the PCA.

Even the names are gone. Previous names that glorified the Sirnothi majority will not be used on new vessels. Frigates, for example, will be named after cities or geographical locations.

It seems clear that the core of the new Sirnoth navy will be formed with 16 Frigates: 8 Gorgon class FFGs gifted from the Shinra Republic and 8 improved OHP gifted from Tian Xia. The largest vessels will be two AOEs to be built in Sirnoth, based upon the Chalice class(unlike the ODN, Sirnothi supply vessels will remain unarmed) followed by a pair of austere LPDs designed by Todd Hatteras.

Image

In addition, the PCA announced a public competition for 5 SSKs to be provided to the Sirnoth Navy.

“It’s a very different navy from the old Principality” a PCA source told Ares Blog. “The Navy will be geared solely for maritime patrol and emergency relief, rather than power projection.”

Even as the new Navy is being drawn up, the Army has put in open bid for new wheeled AFVs, new PzH2000s to replace those lost in the Sirnoth War, and a cross-service utility helicopter, with the Sirnothi Army being the managing agency for the competition. AH-1Zs will be replaced by units gifted by the ODAAF as the ODAAF adopts the RAH-66B.

Ares blog has learned that rather than replacing their old 2A4s(with virtually everyone of them destroyed in the fighting) DMW will be building 300 “Model 4” light tanks originally proposed by Chesapeake Arms during the One Week War.

The Airforce appears to be the most severely restricted of the lot. The entirety of the fixed wing combat aircraft appears to be 26 F-39 Super Girffins “gifted” to Sirnoth, as well as former ODAAF Su-34s, making Sirnoth the 3rd owner of the aircraft…

[OOC]Shady, I’m going to need a parts deal on the Su34s. I’m assuming that Shepistanis spares have ran out by now.[/OOC]

TXS Shaanxi joins CJTF-15
The Shaanxi is a lead ship of her subclass of amphibious assault ships. Purpose modified to support aviation assets, it is capable of carrying a significant aviation component. Joining it will be the TXRS cutters Somebody Else's Problem and Don't Try This at Home, direct from commissioning in the Duchy of Langley. Also joining it will be the TXRS cutters Profit Margin and Trade Surplus, each with three MH-65D helicopters. Further TXN contributions are the Supply, lead ship of her class of combat support ships, and the Chung-Hoon AEGIS destroyer.

Flying Aircraft Carrier?
An idea seemingly more at home in Miratia has shown up in a proposal by Douglas Aircraft Corporation. It utilizes the ULTRA Pelican design as a mothership of sorts for UAVs. It's likely that such a design would primarily be used for hit and fade attacks, though it's conceivable that it could refuel and rearm aicraft, allowing continuous presence near a theatre of operations.
