I don't know, man. But since it's CATO leaders doing these things to them, my protocol people probably hate their guts by now. Luckily, they're pros so they won't show it, ever. :P

While Japanistan might well try and get Indhopal in their pocket through some means, they are generally friendly to Tonkin, or at least view them as a balance against the MESS and now CATO (I believe that was why they had those three way agreements back in the day). So I'd imagine Japanistan would also try and convince Indhopal to let Tonkin take over. Or at least wouldn't arm them specifically to fight against the IRT.

Tonkin has historically been a major trading and technology partner with Japanistan, even through their isolationism. Our advanced interceptor design is Japanistani, for example, as is some of our nuclear reactor technology. As RogueIce noted, it is more likely that they would use the IRT to counterbalance thes MESS and CATO.

South Astaria? IIRC they were never touched. Japanistan was going to steamroll them but changed their minds after Shepistan died.

Astarian-held Veleria is an independent country, technically the Astarian remnant with most of the 10 million or so survivors of Astaria proper living there, though they're probably heavily influenced by Shroomania as Astaria was coming into the now-defunct FUN when Shep wiped them out.

I was working towards this before phongn re-joined; I'll have to find a method to the madness. After all, with Japanistan involved, they might be in a position to, ahem, 'convince' a settlement and perhaps allow a joint occupation in the interests of peace, whatever-- much like I had to accomodate Japanistan in al-Akharabat.

Does that go against the sweet nothings being whispered into Indhopal's ear? Perhaps... or it could be seen as a mere disagreement between the letter and the spirit of the agreement. Either way, Japanistan is never altruistic. They want a foothold as well, or they risk getting left out, and if by striking a stance as "defender of the downtrodden" gets them that foot in the door, they'll take it.

Astarian-held Veleria? I'm calling it Astaria Outre-Mer myself. I always assumed there's some remnants of the old Astarian establishment holding out there.

Oh and RogueIce, if you're receiving folks before the meet in Cascadia I'll have Shroom drop by as well. He has a reputation to uphold for showing up in places at inopportune moments, and I'll gladly seize any opportunity to irritate your planners some more :D.

Not really. Shroom was always going to visit...eventually. And after Cascadia. So this one is planned. It would just be unreal time (and thus before Heraclius/Shady), unless Shroom spent what, a month in Cascadia?

Shroom's off on international meetings & junkets a lot. How much time has Shroom spent actually... Ministering Shroomania?

This is what happens when Shroom doesn't just apply Unreal Time when posting his state visits to have a bunch but still be home a lot to do his real job.

To judge from the timing, probably the same reason I did: to see what the whole "I can't edit it" problem was you were talking about. Near as I can tell he didn't change anything.

EDIT: In case you all don't know, he's an admin of the Wiki alongside me.

Cross-dressing hobos need the most hate love, like a Furry.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
