Still reading, but why would you have a "lead ambassador"? It implies you have more than one in New Anglia, which is silly.
And it works well enough. Lord Baden-Grey is a consummate professional and very reserved dignitary.

He wrote a damn good provocation justifying his nation's declaration of war on the MEH. You can reasonably ask any other nation involved what the hell they're doing fighting the war, but not him. For the Centrality, this may be the first war in the history of galactic civilization to begin with "you kidnapped and sexually molested our head of state!"

You humans are squeamish about mass orbital bombardment. Blame your moral sensibilities that you occasionally have to take a tentacle in the pooper. This is why we like the Bragulans. They would have quarantined the planet and used it as a penal (penile?) colony for dissidents.

Yes, but one can question whether it is in Anglia's interest to dispatch such a great fleet to the other end of known space to enforce this treaty, when as a practical matter there are countless worlds where it is not and cannot be enforced simply because no one is policing all the Third Galaxy shitholes that lie between the major nations?
I'm not saying whether such questioning is correct or incorrect; the point is you can in fact ask the question.
Whereas if anyone asks the Centralists what their reason for fighting the war is, they can say "Hello? Head of state! Kidnapped! Sexually assaulted!"
And at that point, you have to say, they have a pretty damn good reason to fight the war. Kind of hard to question that.
EDIT:
Also, hahahaha. But Choldytz shouldn't worry too much; cans of sardines are waaay less dense than depleted uranium boulders. He'll be fine.

So I officially take this as sufficient that the Shinra Republic and Holy Empire have quietly discussed the matter and consider it settled as well, rather than making another post that'd essentially be the same thing anyway."I see," Lord Prestwick said. "Has Madame Branford already been informed of this?"
"I have already passed on all relevant information to my equivalent number at the Shinra Republic embassy, Your Lordship," Kuroneko replied.
As for Simon's post well, sure we could debate it. But this is SDN, and we don't do that sort of thing around here.

My numbers are terrible. I know that. I probably screwed up some calculations somewhere. I'm still behind everyone else in total counts though since I'm catching up to what I *should* have with my GDP.
Also, yes, the idea behind the weapons modules are that the Refuge can, in a way, powergame against its enemies. However, back in the Old Home days they had to fight some really variable enemies. Now, the standard and most effective weapons pretty much work as well as any other so long as they're used correctly and no need to switch to bullshittium cancellation beams this week after using missiles last week and dark energy dispersion something something the week before that.
I will not be pulling any "hahaha my [weapon] beats yours in what should otherwise be a fair fight because of [technobabble]" unless something that might as well be called a deity shows up. I might get kinda cheap there, so try not to summon any chaos gods or whatever.
Bleh. Now to calculate the MEH armada...

Re: SDN Worlds 4 Commentary Thread VI
Yo Steve. I'm having a little trouble trying to fit my designs on your Shroom Fighter posts. I was thinking that, since you changed the date, I was planning to change the stealth ship that was sent to the general area near the Bragulans way back in October 3400. Back then the Raider was in Sector AA-24 looking for Francus, but now it's busy hunting down MEH ships. I was thinking of having the Datton take the Raider's place as a "reward" for rescuing Kierger from the MEH. I don't know if Corbas, Redav, and the others that were in the Raider should come back in the Datton. Maybe I should just use another ship that's less disreputable. Also, I need to know when I should reveal Francus and have my undercover CIS agents do something.
Should I have the CIS know about the location of Shroom Fighter before your characters do? Or do I have to keep the CIS in the dark until near the main event? Considering the nearness of the MEH-stomp, priorities might change.

Eh, just wing it. I doubt the Centrality intel service would be telling people anyway, but as you mentioned, the MEH has top priority.
And yeah, sorry for the time change, but the Sidney-Nisa post on the MEHStomp was too good to pass up.

Does anyone else remember when CN brought his nation into existence we stated that there were other minor nations or outposts that existed in the sectors that were not displaced, as a way of smacking CN around kinda cheaply for his "all my sectors worth of planets are in one system per sector"? Because it also makes mockery of DH's claim by the emissaries to owning all of those three sectors. Sorry but that is the way I see it, and I am not even that sorry. DH if you want to be a team player then I would be more sorry, but your claims are not going to be of help to the Inhumanist League to which you want to be a part of.
