Whoa, hold your
horses ponies there, KF. The quote function is a beautiful thing.
RogueIce wrote:So I talked to Simon earlier today about joining the game and he gave me a dice roll of 30. Thus 25 + 30 = 55 NCP. I have spent them thusly:
1 Home Sector
6 Core Sectors
7 GDP Boosts
7 Warp Gates
4 remaining NCPs for Trade Routes
This gives me a (current) GDP of $95,000 which could go up to $103,000 if I use all my trade routes. Maybe even $105,000 if they're two ways.
For a little bit of information, I will be playing the great Star Kingdom of Equestria, with the co-rulers of Queen Celestia and Queen Luna. Equestria is a land of peace and harmony, though we'll certainly be capable of defending ourselves should the need arise. And yes, we are a race of multicolored talking ponies, why do you ask?
So, who wants to be a trade partner?
April Fools, motherfuckers

Bring it, kitties. I'll Apple-buck you to the next galaxy over!
I still get another hour of this, yay!
The latter being posted at roughly 2300 my time.
So yes, it was indeed an April Fools joke. As to it being "the most utterly generic, bland, sour, and dull thing (I) could of pulled" well, humor is all in the eye of the beholder and so forth.
I thought it was funny, and yes the absurd NCPs and supermegadreadnoughtofawesome were intentionally over the top and in no way remotely reflective of anything I'd ever try to do in an actual game.
As far as ponies in general are concerned, well, tough nuts. I'm not saying I
will but if I
wanted to and put forth the creative energies to make an interesting backstory/setup/scenario/whatever for them, well why the fuck not? There's a race of friggin' bees out there that are interstellar, so why not talking multicolored ponies?
Or are only certain genres/fandoms allowed to be used for loose inspiration in this game? I must've missed that memo.
I mean yes, if someone creates something that's deliberately trollish I can see not wanting it, and of course my loose rip of MLP done as a prank would indeed qualify. But if I was actually being serious and put forth the effort to create something interesting that happened to involve a race of interstellar ponies with multicolored furs and manes, and which may or may not borrow some names from a relatively popular children's cartoon about ponies again, why the fuck not?
Because hey, if I had a bug up my ass about oh, the Superman franchise for some silly reason, should I get to tell the Kryptonians "sorry but not in
my game you don't"? Lighten up.
