Alaska is very very reliant on Oil/Natural Gas Exports at the present time. There are large mineral deposits, but most of them have yet to be fully explored. As a result of this, Alaska needs stability in MessAmerica, but as you said, we are ready to play most people off each other for a bigger seat at the table (with the main exception of Cascadia (Alaska's closest friend).

I know this is a REALLY old quote but I wanted to go back and addrress this with a large number of the STAR Cruisers and STAR destroyers slated to come online this year and in the next few game years:

This was, and is, the central military funding priority for Wilkonia (and almost all of the funding was Wilkonian) so it may be instructive that I basically shat on my carrier build schedule and took a half strength army for a year and a half in order to keep from shifting funding. Moreover my Marine Corps only came back up to full strength within the last couple game months while the Army still has B and C rated brigades. Moreover compared with other nations my invetment in space and funamental physics has been minimal with most of the money either coming from joint MESS projects (funded largely with Shinra money untouched by either war) or commercial projects (the XM Satellite Radios) that don't have government funding. In other words for a country with an initial GDP in the $5.1 trillion range and probably having risen then fallen back to that point over the last few game years my investment in new naval technology is affordable even without the scale factors aided by Wilkonian shipyards knowing they have ready made clients not requiring any modifications and thus the prospect of huge sales in order to justify a certain redundancy in production and conmensurate cost savings due to economies of scale.

Well with that in mind I have , now that editing is restored, updated my Order of Battle to reflect all construction through Q2 of FY11. The post now includes information on governmental structure and economic items of note. In the near future I hope to incorporate notes about the Royal Space Agency and the Homeland Defense Command/Agency/Whatever I name it.

It seemed to me that the other players never really decided to fully enact Czech's proposed alteration to the Caymans, so I decided to merge the two a bit. Caymans Petroleum doesn't rule the government outright, they're just one of the many corporate backers who use money and influence to keep the mainstream right-wing party in power and get favors in return.

Unlike Czech, who needed to give the Caymans massive oil production as a stick to keep the outside world from thwarting a corporation seizing control of an entire country, this scenario doesn't really need this. Arguably most Caymanians, even the poorest, are better off than the vast majority of Velerian natives and maybe even a couple of the worse Frequesuan nations (and frankly probably no worse off than lower-class San Doradoians).

Though I always had the Communists outlawed after 2003 due to their attempts to stoke anti-government violence. I just elaborated on that here. And I see Stas has picked up on that.

However, I intend to keep the other side of Caymanian extremism too. Communists may or may not be so supportive of the Mesoamerican ethnic seperatists in the two eastern-most islands, Stas can decide that.

I deployed my Marines to East Shepistan but the 14th Division (Heavy) is based out of a FOB/Fort on the NW coast of Shepistan proper. That said they've mostly been confining themselves to patrolling port towns partially to make sure that there are no secret Shepistani projects lurking about the ocean. Its sad but I listed a base name in my OOB and can't recall it right now but nonetheless my 14th Div is in country, I've got a MEU mucking about in East Shepistan but I'm not really all that active in trying to restore civil authority outside of the port towns on the North coast. Anything in the interior of the country would be, at best, recon battalions doing quick runs.

The CV probably has at most 25 years of service under her belt, but is reasonably well maintained. Of course any MESS/SR sensitive electronics will be removed. Although we'll fuel it up for you.

Hoo boy. A John F. Kennedy class aircraft carrier? What's the base price, and how much would it cost for the MESS/Shinra-specific hardware to be replaced with generic equivalents? Also, does anyone know where I can get S-3 Vikings, E-2 Hawkeyes, SH-60 Seahawks, and MH-53E Sea Dragons to fully round out the air complement?
