Hey Rogue, I was reading over your OOB and I noticed something that I just have some questions about. Namely, you statement that the generation ships you have traveled centuries. I hope they are doing higher relativistic speeds, because by all indications, the Great and Glorious Empire of Man had existed for over 10,000 years. Just a nitpick, but something I noticed when reading to put up my starting diplomacy in the planning thread.

For any new players who are confused, Foreman Eberhardt is the head of the Syndicalist navy. The Syndicalist fleet was preparing to launch an invasion of Malacaster, aimed at toppling the current government, or at least securing the independence of the Shehanon Republicans. However, Metallkonig barbarians invaded the Internationale. Eberhardt wanted to mobilize the fleet to meet the barbarian threat, but the council decided that the fleet would be sent after Malacaster, and the barbarians would be dealt with via diplomacy. Eberhardt used his contacts in the naval officer's union to delay the Malacaster operation, maintaining the fleet in position for weeks, believing that diplomacy would be wasted on the metal-barbarians. Fortuitously, a deal was struck, and Eberhardt's treasonous actions turned out to be unnecessary. This has also lead to me having a fully supplied and equipped fleet turned out for conquest immediately; good news!

Hey Ohma, how much would you mind my patrol "Discorvering" your stealth forces via thier trying to hack into the Kushawni systems? given the amount of CyberHUmans constantly scanning the network your bound to be discovered, though it doesn't mean we'll find your Ship...

Sure, it's no fun having space U-Boats that just sit around as flavor text. Is it okay if they're able to catch some info along the lines that the Kushawni lost a fairly important ship to some apparently hostile force (nothing to indicate that their aliens) in Makay?

Heh, Ashes of Terra indeed. Tanassin, Omha, feel free to detect an encrypted transmission of unknown origin. Things should get interesting that way.

Oh so Ohma knows who he is dealing with in that patrol force, there are the following.

12xSmall tradeships 5+1H
3xProductionLine BusterMachines: 06 +1O +1D +1H +1S= 10
2xBattleCruisers 15 +5H = 20

130pts in total

Just to make sure- all these Chamarran warships are 30-point vessels, marking them as capital warships, right?

I'm finishing up the OOB for the 1,2, and 3 Expeditionaries- together they make the Black Banner Fleet. It encompasses around 1500 points in total ( a little less.) I'm done with the 1st and 2nd, the 3rd'll be done in a little while.

this is going to be messy, but i can always just gas his friends on the ground before he gets to them. Also like the second the chamarans get an accurate measure of fleet strength, ie when thirds fleet leaves hyperspace, they're gone. They're gonna hurl the cattle warships at the syndicalists and flee till they can muster a response that doesnt seem inadequate.

Oh, BTW, don't be so surprised, Lancer- this was brewing in the first iteration. There are Syndicalist rebels still fighting the kittens, and word has gotten out as to the nature of the tragedy on Makay, It's time for a Syndicalist Crusade!

Naturally, im not pulling punches this time, if a massive battlefleet of death is headed to wipe out the alienx, im not quibelling about sovereignty this time...Im just going to join up with them.

I do wish you had held off this a LITTLE bit Thirfain... I had hoped a gfradual build up of my forces along my northren boarder so ity didn't seem too abrupt that thier sending as much as they can up to Makay/... Gues you don't like to beat around the bush do you?

EDIT: added a bit to my post for Ohma.. you;ve been tracked my frined! better chposes what to do next

The Aaronsohn is releasing all of its stored radiation in one burst, launching decoys, and heading out system...though they may not make it, really their only hope is transitioning into subspace before your Buster Machines just blow away every sensor ping in that little cloud of radiation.

The BusterMachines are 25 meter tall Warmachines with the destructive force of a small destroyer and the speed of a fighter... They were BUILT to locate small targets like your escaping stealth ship,. I'll be sporting and let the mgo this time... though you should leave some form of parting message that you ARN"T xenos, which would make the difference between being upset wiht your escape... and being upset wiht your escaping, and calling another division in to then hunt you donw :P

Well you already partly broke their encryption (your cyberdudes are probably a lot better at that then the decidedly retro 'Trixiat) so you could've intercepted some or all of the message that was sent to the Virginia Hall (it was pretty much "holy shit man, they saw us, we're getting out of here while the getting's good"). I'll leave it up to you to decide about that, thanks for letting the Aaronsohn go though, I'm sure the women at DIntDiv who aren't sacked will be grateful the operation wasn't a total loss.

Np... one thing to learn about most STGOD games like thi,s is 90% of the time battles are decided BEFORE actual fightining takes place. damage, losses, etc...

That makes much more sense, I'll try to be a bit less vague about stuff like this later. (I guess the big battle in Sol in the last STGOD between the STMC and...well, everyone else there, really was quite a bit different from what is happening so far here)

The Dawns Star Empire prowler L7F0G is attempting to contact the resistance forces by tightbeam transmission relayed by one of their surveilance drones.

This will result in the immediate detection of the drone by all forces present, though it'll give the prowler more time to gather info and attempt to make formal contact with the resistance if they turn out to have retained their Imperial identity up until their recent subjugation. They have two more attempts to contact the resistance-held vessel by drone-relay before they have to break stealth to do so.
