Yeah, my rationalization was just a suggestion to explain this away if one feels so inclined ; There's no need to actually mention it in-game. I mean, we all know the Anglians probably don't run their government exactly like XIXth century Britain, but nobody demands that Steve describe in detail how his bureaucracy works.

Not to mention the Bragulans and their approach to administration, which is basically "Employ however many bears are necessary to manage things and make up the lost productivity with slave entirely voluntary patriotic self-improvement labor" :D

Hey, we should probably assign our factions theme music that is appropiate for them. I lay claim to the Imperial March.

The Current Dynasty's Theme Music.
The Paladins' music.

I'll probably pick an appropriate Greek chant for the job or whatever. Admittedly, it will bore most dignitaries to sleep, but it gives us an excuse to claim offense. :P

Are you telling me Kenny Loggins is verboten in Poland? Because it's somehow very appropriate that Highway to the Dangerzone be censored by the Eastern Block :D.

No, actually, it's been blocked by Sony due to copyright.

Heh. You know, I'm not sure what the Locrian theme music would be. Something to give a sense of age, for sure... considering they've been starfarers for 17,000 years, they count as really goddamn old.

EDIT: If you like big sweeping classical themes, Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age from Holst's The Planets, perhaps?

The Locrians aren't just bugs. They do have art, admitedly limited what with there being only forty of them...

Translation: They have music, not just mindless chattering. You're thinking of the Karlack.

Perfect! I, at least, get a sense of 'ancient mystery' from listening to that, and that's exactly what the Locrians are, right up until they wake up...

Holy crap, you're just about the only race in this area of the galaxy that predates humanity's development into a starfaring nation.

Excellent!

I predate Krypton's development into same. Hell, I predate their unification by millenia. When I say the Locrians are old, I mean old.

It was a half-joke, but the point I was sorta trying to make was that Locrian music may not be emotionally recognizable or accessible to human listeners at all. A cicada's whine is white noise to a human, but to a cicada?
