Actually, I don't mind sending astronauts up in the air. I'm going to handwave that I had sent astronauts to train in Red Technocracy (Stas probably wouldn't mind). After all, that launch platform of mine is going to be ready soon.

And yeah, I'm surprised Coilerburg pulled that silly trick. Why, did he think everyone hadn't set up security measures for those?

I took the liberty of sending one up for you, since Byzantium has been doing orbital flights with a bio payload for some time now.

He even shit-talked about the UAR a bit after landing ;)

BTW, Shroom: do you feel in the mood for writing something about the "Ferdinand Magellan"? It's currently on a trip of exploratoin and discovery, so there's a lot of potential for wackiness and homoeroticism :D

In theory we have, I have contributed to the OMSK program till its dissolution. :) Ah well, we are happy to work with FUN (unless the MESS actually tells me what's going on with their program).

I figured that since you contribute a not-insignificant sum of money to the moon program, you should get an astronaut kinda by default :D

Oh, BTW. Any more ISCA orders this year? If not, I'll get on writing the bulletin and summarizing what was done :D

So far as I know, our manned stuff is pretty much tied in with FASTA and the moon missions. Everything else, I think, is unmanned.

EDIT: But I'm not really handling the MSA stuff, so it's up to Lonestar and Beowulf really. They're the space guys. :)

Oh, and I wouldn't mind some Shinra Republic astronauts, PeZook. :D

A Shroomanian astronaut would be great!

And I think Shroomania might have an answer to the Joint FUN Air Defence Missile requirements! YAY MACMILLAN!

Erm...all of them were completed last year? :D

You have the biggest fleet of hospital ships in the world now, I think ;)

And BTW...I wonder if Mig-29s may be able to carry the Kh-whatever hypersonic cruise missiles? Even if it's just one per plane, it's still 14 more warheads for the FASTA deterrent.

Yeah! Let's have the private sector outdo the UAR ;)

You have around 15 of the huge SHS ships now. In other words, you can move a huge well equipped hospital anywhere you want :D

I think we'll have a female Shroomanian wacko now. How about Miranda Pothead, daughter of two hippie new-agers who gets made fun of all the time by her peers?

I don't know. You do Shroomanian crazy way better than me ;)

Getting thrown out the airlock (sans spacesuit) when he annoys his MESS counterpart one too many times? :P

PeZook you caught the WCT and three 6000 TEU from my private shipping firm, right?

I suppose they could just go to Wilkonia and Byzantium directly if they had to, so those would be lowest priority on the build list (must...have...more...FCS! :D ).

I think I intended to order eventually 2 ICSA Hospital vessels. I don't mind if someone else handles that. My Shipyards are going to be busy this year anyhow, what with that defence platform, frigates, submarines and that LHD as well.

Miranda Moonbeam! She takes drugs while being launched into space, and goes all Jodie Foster in Contact!

Ground control to Major Moonbeam, you've really made the grade!

Or, maybe that would be dangerous. So she does drugs while spacewalking, and her co-astronauts have to reel her in by pulling her umbilical cord.

"My god... it was full of stars!"

"No shit, Miranda."

Ouch...dude...I wonder what spending 10 days in a cramped 9 M^3 tincan with a Shroomanian could do to people ;)
RogueIce wrote:PeZook you caught the WCT and three 6000 TEU from my private shipping firm, right?
Yeah, I did, but Wilkens didn't yet provide me with any WCT details :D

So, uh...I guess they should go directly to Wilkonia and Byzantium for this year :P

Yep, they will all be ready for service by the end of FY2012. We can say that half of them will be ready by July, though, if you need them fast.

Nah. It's an eventual thing. Half of this year's order won't make a huge difference anyhow. So I'll take it all at the end of the year, and they can escort the FCSes.

Okay, I've decided to go with Miranda Moonbeam for Selene 5 (tethered spacewalk mission).

Except when it's discovered she took LSD on her walk, she'll be kicked off the program, so Shroom should ready a replacement :P

There's another FASTA matter: the Moon crew :D

It's a political decision as much as a practical one. We get three people, two of whom will actually walk on the Moon. Of course, since there are 7 Moon missions planned plus the Extended Lunat Presence program, practically every country will get an astronaut there eventually.

Well the two moonwalkers should each be from the FUN or MESS (1 of each). The third is a bit less important, since if it's like the US Apollo missions he or she is just gonna stay in orbit anyway.

As to which country takes it, I'd suppose each alliance can figure it out on their own. A lottery, picking names out of a hat, dice rolls, hideous and brutal civil war, whatever. :P
