Just one Wilkonian vessel can carry something on the order of 8 times the cargo load (for containerized/intermodal cargo) of the FCS. So basically if you get in line behind Fingolfin (who has priority delivery of the next two to roll off of FCSY's slipways around the last quarter of 2009) you could have as much tonnage and capacity as waiting around for 8-10 FCS's to get delivered.

The per-unit cost is (250million USD) so its as much as a dozen FCS's but also requires less crewspace and lower lifetime operational costs.

It uses the same model for Selene 14-21, so:

1. Lunar Orbital Rendezvous: the spacecraft is composed of two modules (the Command-Service Module and the Lunar Module), and they dock together once the entire spacecraft is ejected from Earth orbit.

2. Three member crew (Command Module Pilot, Lunar Module Pilot, Mission Commander). The Commander and LM Pilot will be the ones to land, the Command Module pilot will stay in orbit.

Later missions will use the LK-700 ship and the Direct Ascent model, so three astronauts will land on the Moon. Next we'll start using the full capability of the Altair lander, that is four people supported for a month, and after that program is done, we should have a semi-permanent outpost on Selene.

Kh-90 is too big and heavy for any tactical fighter. You need a plane like an Tu-22M or just maybe an F-111 to haul it, and even then we just 2-3 per aircraft. The UAR much perfers weapons which it can place on aircraft by the dozens like SRAM.

I thought so, but I didn't have the KH- number to check the weight against the Mig-29s capacity. I guess we'll contribute to deterrence by buying interceptors and hardened hangars for other people's bombers, then :P

Announcement:

During the big war scare over that convoy, Shepnukistan had about 900-1000 devices. Now, we have 2,000+.

Of course. Infrastructural ravage from a war that leads to the loss of several percent of the population (and 1-2% of the general population would mean in fact 4-6% from the adult, labour-age population) should be extreme.

Shep can still churn out nukes all he likes though. A starving populace does not prevent that buildup.

But it's going to lead to massive unrest. Or people trying to leave in droves to a better place (which for them basically means anywhere they could get food).

Actually I find it surprising that during the war, nuclear reactors were not targeted. I would suppose Shep not having a single one left, thus he can only make devices from leftover materials.

In addition, his nation should be dealing with several Chornobyls (he has what, 4 or 5 reactors?)

His most pressing problem would definitely be internal unrest, since he's one of the only two countries on Nova Terra which suffered nuclear war on its territorry.

2% dead may be minor as far as rebuilding goes, but this causes everyone to know somebody who died in the civil war, and possibly even the nuclear strikes. Meanwhile, the nuclear arms race continues and even the FUN is getting a deterrent. He would have to switch to a drafted army by now to have people to maintain this ridiculously huge nuke arsenal and fly the bombers etc since a sharp drop in volunteers is to be expected.

I mean, Japan was nuked more than 60 years ago, and it still has a phobia of nuclear weapons. Add to this the fact that continued belligerence may make people destroy Shepnukistan pre-emptively, and dissent suddendly becomes someting you can't just ignore any longer.

EDIT: In fact, high-profile defections from Shepnukistan via Neverhood should become something of an everyday occurence, methinks.

Hah,so Coilerburgians thought they'd shut down the spy network, huh?

Fortunately, there's more than one way to spy on people, and they didn't get the most precious piece of information: Kulinsky's notebook :D

You forgot the part where a chunk of the country was ripped off and created as a new one.

Yeah, actually. Even if this part only housed proportionate GDP assets, a sharp GDP loss is expected.

Shep should have 30-40% down GDP and a nation wondering just whatthe fuck is he doing with a military buildup. Else, that's wankage.

How does Saddamistan factor in all of this? We all know his nation is involved in numerous projects. Does some of his nuclear armaments come from Saddamistan? And, why hasn't Shep gotten around to wipe clean that chunk that refused to swear allegiance to him when he has that many nukes?
