For purposes of PLOT and expanding some ideas that I had... How many out there would like to have been visited by my "Puppet Masters" in their ancient past? For the parts I will be using them in story, I'd liek them to have plenty of past experience with the other racers. After all they were in the galaxy almost 1000 years before game start, and spent almost 50 years going from one end to the other looking for a good place to run their experiments.
The OMNI came about and did their thing appx 2100 AD. So I would say depending on where I am on the map...there is a chance the Puppet Masters would've seen what was going on.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to get my story up yet...work got in the way. Hoping to do finish it tomorrow.

Anyway, I've got all the ancient aliens I really need in my background, so don't worry about me.
Well bugger me, how did I get the time off like that
I forgot just how far Forward we were, it would be 2000 years back not one >_<
On another note...
Since there won't be a map till most of us decied who we are next... I would like to actually be close to either Skywalker, Darkevilme, or 11thCentury. As those seem the best groups for making intial contact with.
Well, just keep in mind that there was a long cold war running for a good 3000 years involving the Ks, the Greys, and someone else whom I can't remember.

Hmm...somewhat random, but now that I have actually thought more on the map, I would probably want to be close to the Holy Empire, assuming that Shinn is okay with that. That way we have the potential problem of having Space Sweden right next to Space Japan (both isolationist, but with massively different views).

The Bastians, though that Cold War may end soon on the Bastian front.

Well, one thing that I had in mind I that over some recent period (I'm thinking the last few hundred years) the Kryptonians had pulled back from the galactic stage due to a massive disaster (no, nothing in the sector went boom).

Well, then a truce is offered between the Bastians and Kryptonians? Akhlut suggested that the cause of the Cold War between the Grays and the Bastian Empire was the latter's habit of uplifting species back when it was the Neithian Union. Dunno what it'd be for the Kryptonians, though.

It depends entirely on whether you want to get entangled with the Covenant or the Belkans. If you're close to the Covenant, they'll wind up going after you as well. The Belkans will be content to leave you alone as long as you give them jobs.

Hmm...the Covies could be a problem since I don't have the largest navy and you kept their OOB secret. The Belkans shouldn't be a problem though, as long as I don't antagonize them. So I don't see a problem, as long as I can avoid the Covies.

Yea but the Covvie's are a Micronation, with what, four sectors? I doubt they'll have forces to totally wreck your shit, enough of a threat to tie up fleet assets and perhaps give Space Sweden a reason to be outside thier borders and paying attention though, so that might be a good thing.

Hmm...didn't think about it that way. It does give us a reason to leave, then again it could be an excuse to go turtle. Entirely depends on if I actually get placed next to them. We shall see on that point.
Y'know, the Belkans being Belkans, if they were close to the Volsci they might be tempted to try and expand their territory.

Hey, psst... *make sign to get close* You know, since we're allies and all, and since I've got maybe what is the biggest fleet in the game yet... Well, I as a player am up for some "let's aid Space Sweden defend itself" action, if you know what I mean *wink wink nudge nudge*

They're not THAT huge. Tough, yes, but not a galaxy-threatening juggernaut, or likely to become one.

I wouldn't worry about it too much Skywalker, these sorts of things are collaberative, if you get involved with a war, just make sure there's other players involved with you, they can handle the battlescenes, letting you just focus on the Acradian stuff.
