If not, then PeZookia can be the loser and have a huge mea culpa complex over it ;)
I'm OK with losing the war. :D

I look forward to reading it. Against who are we going exactly?

PeZookia, Byzantium and Shroom or will you include Stas coming to save your asses? :D

OK. How many points are Martian tripods, then?

Is it possible to make an empire totally disappear from the world? I think the <empire> in my history is kind of getting hard to neglect once the game starts, so I'm thinking of kind of causing a great holocaust or disaster to take it off the map.

How about a revolution and uprisings by long-suppressed minority ethnic groups, with the result of a imperial breakup, dozens of small, spin-off statelets of minor consequence?

I've pretty much finished my OOB, including squadrons, air bases, army structure etc. One question though: what's the final word going to be on strategic rockets and missiles? Are we going with "people can have roughly what's available today" or do we stick with Skimmer/PeZook's "end of the V-2 derivatives era"? proposal Because as of right now I've got THAAD as my heavy ADA, and that seems rather silly if the ICBM has yet to be invented.

Additionally I'll probably wind up with some leftover points, so if you'd like, I can spend those on "older" equipment and just sell it to you shortly after game start, as well.

Of course if you've "historically" bought equipment from me, that still goes against your initial point totals or however you're doing your initial equipment, FYI. You can get "extra" if I spend my own points on it, but you'll still have to buy it from me.

Unless you're like my super-duper ally and I give it to you as part of that I suppose.
Well, if you are planning being a big ship producer like last time, would the Sachsen class be something you'd be selling? Do you know of any older but still capable frigates that would make good sense to own as well?

Actually, he and I are likely to go with F-100 frigates which have the Aegis radar system.

But that aside, I still plan to sell those La Fayette frigates which are much cheaper than even the Sachsen frigates.

I think I'll try this route so we might be able to have a playground of NPC nations in the south as well. The <empire> will probably break after WWII.

Are ALL Carriers going to be 16-pointers, regardless of size?

Because there are some wide varieties, including some of the smaller European-style ski-jump carriers and the Kiev-class Cruiser/Carrier types.

I'd put those at, say, 12 points each since they're quite limited in the number of planes they can carry. These are in a class by themselves from the massive US Nimitz-style supercarriers.

Yeah I've been wondering on this myself. I certainly don't want or need a fleet carrier, but something to launch helicopters and a few jets from would be quite usefull to help control my congested littoral zones. As of now I am paying for an LHD and not really using it for its amphibious capabilities.

I think my OOB is finally done. I used the 210 points with 70 points for each and with RogueIce's advice(Thanks :D ) I think it will work. Please feel free to point out any mistakes.

Might be a good idea. Though I might add that some of these carriers are practically large LHDs like the Wasps class.

I have a proposition on Special Forces type troops, as they seem to be extremely expensive. For Extremely high quility outfits like 1st SFOD Delta 3 points for 60 guys would be moe resonable than 4. They are extremely expensive to train, but 4 points was just too much in my opinion. For guys like US army Special Forces, who do training and such, 1 point per 60 men should be good. For US rangers and the like we need a new category as they are essentially really well trained light infantry. 1 point buying a company would be a decent buy. If they are any more expensive you are just much better off buying paratroopers instead.

How about just lumping all Air Assault, Airborne (para), and Ranger types together on the cost scale, as lightinfantry x2; and leaving the Spec-Ops classes of SEAL, Delta, and Special Forces ("Green Berets") in the more expensive category.

Also (amazingly enough) I second Skim's opinion about the space program. Let's place it around the end of the V-2 Derivatives Era. So that we can have rockets that mostly don't explode on launch and basic comsats, but no real manned space programs just yet.
Goddamn it! We're gonna have to restart FASTA again? Aw, mang... can't we just continue from where we left off, back in SDN 1, with a joint FUN-MESS space program and a mission to the moon?
