Cascadia's heavy in timber resources. There is offshore gas deposits that are open to being tapped, though they probably haven't been fully opened for extraction yet. There are metals in the Cascades and the O'Neill Territory of northwestern Yukon still produces iron and other materials in decent, if not stupendous, quantities. Naturally there are fruits and grains grown in the river valleys, grains in Rosario, and lots of offshore fishing (though I figure we're in a three-way fisheries dispute with Alaska and Tian Xia).

Industry wise, Cascadia has a flourishing biotech industry, shipbuilding, and a top-notch aerospace industry centered in Boeing, which is like its real world counterpart in that it produces both civilian airliners and military aircraft of varying kinds, including providing completely original designs for the Cascadian Air Force and Navy.

Aircraft wise, I produce fighters equivalent to the F-15 and F-16 in the ASF-10 and ASF-9s respectively. The AIE-12 is an interceptor aircraft, haven't decided on specifics compared to real life designs yet, and the NSF-11 is, well, I don't think it has quite a real life counterpart either. Nor does the GSF-14. (Note that Cascadia has a tri-service designation system where the number tells you the actual aircraft, the lettering the aircraft's type/mission).

To break it further down for the widely-used ASF-10, the 10A is basically the original F-15. The 10B is the Strike Eagle. The 10C is a modernized version of the air-superiority craft, akin to the F-15D I guess but with modernized elements. And the not-yet-fielded SF-10D (the A is cut on the B and D) is the equivalent of the F-15K, the South Korean variant of the Strike Eagle that IIRC is the most modernized and state-of-the-art of that designi. Also, each version is capable of being navalized, and the ASF-10C/N is used on my three carriers.

And to repeat a post I did before.

The Boeing Company, despite the recent climb in RCAF orders, still has plenty of production capacity for airliner and transport corporations looking for aircraft, or for friendly nations to purchase military aircraft from.

For airliners, the Boeing 777 and 787 represent the pinnacle of modern airliner design.

Nations not on the Republic's Sanctions List (OOC: Shepistan! And Shepistani bitch states like San Fuegos. Also possibly Astarias with limited purchase rights) are also free to purchase any of our lines of excellent military aircraft. The KCB-777 adapts the B777 airliner frame into a long-range refueling tanker, while the BC-777 is a long-range cargo aircraft of nations looking for long-range airlift capability at affordable price. Both variants are being offered at a price of $185 million per unit on bulk orders of at least 10, $180M/unit for an order of 20.

For military combat aircraft, the Boeing BF-9D (ASF-9D Falcon RCAF classification) is a lightweight and short-range combat aircraft capable of both air-to-air and air-to-ground combat and a variety of loadouts. In every way comparable in operational capacity to the F-16 and purchasable at an average of $18M/unit. Bulk orders will receive a reduction to $15M and $12M at 30 and 60 units respectively.

The BF-10 (ASF-10 and variants) is a tried-and-tested design that has seen widespread use since its introduction in the latel 70s that is comparable favorably to the F-15 found in other air forces and supplements the shorter-range BF-9 well. The basic BF-10 is a larger air superiority fighter than the BF-9. The -B variant is a strike fighter capable of deep-penetration ground attack missions with minimal fighter support or for providing direct air support to ground troops. The -C variant is the latest in 4th Generation capability and is a capable multi-role aircraft, capable of various air superiority missions and of strike operations. All three are capable of being constructed for standard land-based air missions or for operation off of carriers of sufficient size. Per unit cost is $25M/unit for the basic, $35M/unit for the BF-10B, and $75M/unit for the BF-10C for either ground-based or navalized versions of the variants. Cost will be reduced to $20M/unit, $30M/unit and $70M/unit respectively on orders of sufficient size.

Aircraft:
Douglas
F-15F Mudhen
The pre-eminent fourth generation fighter. A two-seat aircraft due to the workloads a modern pilot can encounter, it is capable of performing nearly any task a fighter can be tasked with, from air-superiority to maritime strike. Fitted with replacable FAST packs, it has the capability to carry immense amounts of fuel, or to carry mission specific equipment. Currently fitted with F110-GE-132 engines with 3D TVC, for the power and control a pilot needs. AESA radar allows it to dominate the battlespace.

B-1C Bone
The world's best heavy bomber, capable of carrying the largest bomb loads in the world. It also can be configured with external drop tanks for those really long range missions. New AESA radar gives it the capability to launch air to air missile in self defense. New F120 engines allow it to reach speeds of Mach 2.2 at altitude. Thrust vectoring allows supreme manueverability. Reconfigurable bomb bays allow them to carry cruise missiles internally.

KC-42A
A lighterweight tanker with cheaper operating costs.

KC-45A
A heavyweight tanker for those times you just need a big aircraft. Like the KC-42, capable of transporting cargo and passengers as well as fuel.

C-17
A heavy tactical airlifter.

VC-25
The VIP transport of the leaders of the largest nations in the worl.

T-45D
Intermediate training aircraft. Capable of going supersonic with the afterburning F125 engine. Carrier capable.

Grumman
F-14E Tomcat
The most capable carrier aircraft ever. Like the F-15F, capable of utilizing FAST packs for multimission configurability. Uses the same engines to reduce supply problems. APG-71v1 radar allows it to track 24 aircraft and engage up to 8 simultaneously.

C-2B Blender
Carrier Onboard Delivery aircraft. Based on E-2 airframe.

E-2D Blender
Carrier based AEW&C.

THE TOP SECRET FTO DESIGN STASH
Submitted To All Participating FTO Members

Design Report
Baerne Ducal Shipyards / Blues Brothers Shipping

Standard class Guided Missile Destroyer
A Sovereign Duchy of Baerne / Corporate Republic of San Dorado Joint Venture

Displacement: 9,000 tons
Length: 170m
Beam: 18m
Draft: 9.4m
Speed: 30+ knots
Range: 7,500km at 20 knots

Armament:
130 cells Mk 41 VLS
1x ASROC VLS
1x Surface Ship Anti Torpedo Rocket Defence system
2x Goalkeeper CIWS
2x RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile launcher
2x Mk 32 Triple Torpedo Tubes
1x ASW Helo
Various light machineguns can be mounted

Electronics:
Standard Integrated Combat system (SIC) [Aegis analogue]
SPY-1D Radar
Electronic Countermeasures Component

Design Notes:
* Design foregoes the traditional 5" gun system and second helicopter in favour of 40 more VLS cells.
* The Standard Integrated Combat system is designed according to FTO standardized spec to achieve optimal networking efficiency within an FTO framework.
* Design is approved by the administrations of the Sovereign Duchy of Baerne and the Corporate Republic of San Dorado.

The Standard class guided missile destroyer is designed as a modern, highly capable warship capable of putting large numbers of missiles in the air in order to engage and annihilate enemy flotillas at range. Its SIC system allows ships of FTO task forces to engage opponents as a cohesive force, coordinating both defence and offence simultaneously.

It is the opinion of the design team that this destroyer is potentially capable of becoming the mainstay and workhorse of a prospective joint FTO fleet.

Cost is estimated at around $1.1 - $1.5 billion per ship 'fully loaded', depending on the number of ships ordered.

Design Report
Blues Brothers Shipping / Carris Shipbuilding / Coilerburg Iron Works

Vigilant class Guided Missile Submarine
A 2nd Republic of Indhopal / Coilerburg / Corporate Republic of San Dorado Joint Venture

Displacement: 12,640 tons (surfaced)
14,335 tons (submerged)
Length: 135m
Beam: 12.50m
Propulsion: Pressurised water S15 nuclear reactor (150 MW) (Shroomanian Design; Constructed Under Lease), turboreductor system, Pump-jet, 2 diesels-alternator auxiliaries.
Speed: 20+ knots

Armament:
12 Mark 45 missile tubes
28 Mark 41 missile tubes
4 x 533 mm torpedo tubes

OR

52 Mark 41 missile tubes
4 x 533 mm torpedo tubes

Electronics:
S-1 Integrated Sonar System
Tactical Operations System
Very low-frequency towed array sonar

Design Notes:
* Design incorporates either 12 x enlarged missile tubes for projected heavy missile and 28 standard Mk 41 VLS cells or 52 standard Mk 41 cells.
* In response to conclusions deduced from the Old Dominion – Shepistani war, the design team is open to potentially enlarging the torpedo tube bore to facilitate the firing of larger diameter torpedoes.

The Vigilant class submarine is designed for long-endurance patrols around the Frequesuan continent. Pump-jet propulsion facilitates noise reduction resulting in a low Sonar signature. Unfortunately, as a result the top forward speed is reduced to 20 knots.

Assuming four ships are ordered the cost of the Vigilant project is estimated at nearly $16 billion. This cost drops appreciably with each extra submarine built.

Cascadia is selling almost three quarters of the An-22s (modified as KC-22s currently) acquired from Shepistan in the Food-for-Tankers Program. They are being sold at $100M/unit.

200 units were acquired.
60 are being assigned to the Cascadian Defense Department for provision to the RCAF and RCN (not expected to be finished until 2010 due to inspections and maintainance training, as well as the need to acquire licenses to build spare parts or to arrange purchases of them from producers).
Of 140 units remaining, 60 have been sold to the Republic of Tonkin (Phong confirmed the larger order of 60 via IM, and given I posted Tonkin playing an intermediary role in negotiating the terms of the Food-for-Tankers Program between Cascadia and Shepistan, they were given the first chance to place an order with Cascadia). Langley has bought 12.
This leaves 68. So far Shroom has approached me for some as well but hasn't specificed quantity. Though his PM indicated he wanted a large quantity. :) So I suspect he'll buy 40-60, if not all the remaining ones. Anyone else interested may want to say so before he confirms his purchase quantity in a post or PM....

Edit: Shroom bought 50. That leaves 18. I'll give it a bit before I expect an answer, since realistically it'll take a few months, probably, to fly all 200 to Cascadia, and a bit longer to confirm whom is buying what as well as to do extensive checkups of each aircraft.

If by, oh, next week I haven't heard anything, I'll announce the aircraft sold to private companies.

Remember, I have a whole new generation of mobile IADS, a lightweight carrier-capable fighter design (GA-80, lost out to Svalbardia's Sea Gripen, also for sale via IRT partners), the LLE Shroomtofortress/Bear multirole bombers and pretty much anything anyone cares to name. Munitions for all major weapons standards are of course available.
