I think only the V was used in the official title, the rest was omitted.
Or at least it is not used on the original texts I have seen from his chancellery.

You're quite correct, Charles only used his Imperial ordinal (when he used one at all). The Neapolitan, Austrian, and various Burgundian numerals are simply for mental placekeeping. Along similar lines,

In Disney's Cinderella, Prince Charming is the son of an anonymous King who is referred to as "His Imperial Majesty" (and whose proclamation refers to him as "Imperial and Royal"). Both the King and the Prince wear a crème tunic with red trousers piped in gold. On this basis, one may conclude that Charming and his father are Habsburgers, and he has been revised here accordingly. To account for his epaulettes, he is seen here wearing the ranks of k.u.k. Feldmarschall and k.u.k. Großadmiral, with the invariable Golden Fleece at the collar.

Re: Publius drawings (large)
They're quite good, although unflattering of the Habsburgs when they appear on stage. Otto Prohaska is an Austro-Czech expatriate living in a Polish Catholic nursing home in the English seaside in 1988, when he records his misadventures for some friends. If this sounds a bit like the set-up of the old Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (before George Lucas edited out George Hall's nonagenerian Indiana Jones bookends), it's an apt comparison, as Prohaska stumbles from one adventure to the next, sometimes literally, and meeting a number of historical figures, including Franz Joseph, Wilhelm II, Franz Ferdinand, Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf, and Karl I & IV. A career naval officer, he spends much of the war in the Austro-Hungarian U-boat service operating as a submarine commander in the Mediterranean, but also spends some time as an aviator on the Italian front, and even participated in the siege of Tsingtao on board S.M.S. Kaiserin Elisabeth in 1914. According to his reminiscences, he subsequently served as commander of the Czechoslovak Danube flotilla, "admiralissimo" of the Paraguayans in the Chaco War, commodore in the Polish navy during the war, and as a British commando, spending some time in Buchenwald for his pains. He also mentions his hatred of The Sound of Music, remarking that he had actually been good friends with Georg Ritter von Trapp.Thanas wrote:Slightly OT, but I never heard of that series - is it any good?
Prohaska's submarine exploits as narrated in the first novel, A Sailor of Austria, are quite entertaining.
