So who gets Joe Biden's Senate seat
It's also somewhat amusing to think that while ... %52 of the electorate's ecstatic $48 thinks this is literally the end of the United States of America as we know it.
I would so LOVE to be treated to threats of Conservatives running to Canada, but somehow, I don't think it's conservative enough for them.

And now that compromising his principles will no longer get him anywhere, the real John McCain comes back. The man I would have considered voting for in 2000 if Shrubby the Wonder Chimp hadn't shouldered him aside. I can't forgive him for turning into what he did, but that speech won at least a small measure of respect back from me.

Barack Obama, the 45th President of United States of America.
I was watching the Daily Show/Colbert Report coverage, and it was unfunny. Colbert was just being goofy, and not in a good way.
Barack Obama, our nation's 1st black president and our 44th white president. *sigh*And now we wait for the extremist response.
I couldn't go sleep right now even if I wanted to. Fireworks are going off and the phone keeps ringing every goddamn 10 seconds. I might as well watch the speech.

In 30 hours I will be shipping out to Ft. Knox to begin OSUT as a cavalry scout. I will graduate this school under the first black commander and chief, President Barack Hussein Obama. I have no words for how amazing this feels.

Whether McCain smeared or not, I don't think these people would ever have accepted a Dem president. Many of McCain's supporters are the extreme nutjobs who are so bigoted that nothing either candidate did would have stopped them from throwing out that rhetoric.Pulp Hero wrote:Saw this, among others on a Repub forum:

I honestly feel sorry for McCain. He's brought it upon himself, no question there, but I doubt this is the campaign he wanted to run, or the legacy he wanted to leave behind.

Oh, good.First we all need to pray McCain wins. If he doesnt tho, we will survive Obama. He will do disastrous things but we will rebuild our movement. Even tho an Obama victory will be very damaging, it may be what need to open the eyes of the blind who support this anti-American. Other than that, load up on ammo and guns and hope for the best.

Very nice and classy acceptance speech on McCain's part. But yeah... some racist douchebags in the audience.
And hell, it looks like the whole board is logged into N&P.

Shit, think about that.
Someone shouted "John's our president", getting claps. People started chanting his name, booing when he said he lost and that Obama was president every single time.
Can you imagine if the old McCain hadn't shown up? If he had given an angry speech, saying ACORN stole the election and he wouldn't concede until an investigation was done, someone in that audience would have tried to kill Obama. I'm sure of it.
The Negro is President, and they think it's the end of America. There was an air of anger and fear about them- they don't know what to do, and anger and fear make violence.

To be honest, I think if McCain had stayed as decent as he was in that concession speech throughout his campaign things wouldn't have been that different. Man, look at those electoral votes numbers. That's great.
