Flame War Weapons and Tactics Test Arena
We need a test thread to serve as an Arena of sorts in order to determine and invent the most destructive and disruptive weapons/tactics we can use in our Forum Invasions. This is the thread. That said: Gentlemen, DO YOUR WORST!! Lata and Happy Weapons Testing!

Yup! I go for complete destruction in a single massive concentrated fusillade of Ungodly extreme firepower for maximum damage, shock effect, and sheer terror the likes of which no board should theoretically completely recover from! Then I'm long gone before they ban me, so in effect I'm the Mad Nuclear Bomber™ of flame warriors. FYI the best time to Drop the Big One is at about 5AM to 9AM when likely no one'll be around to notice it. But when they log on, Surprise! (More like KaFUCKING BOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Best used against smaller boards or with a large "Ground Assault" a la CreationWeb. Lata and Victory For The EMPEROR!NecronLord wrote:You are a dirty flame warrior aren't you

Should all hope be lost. Should the troll menace become too great. I have modified an ancient weapon to server our purposes, the destruction of all logic, all debate, and all bandwidth, plunging the forum into the deepest depths of web insanity from which there is no recovery.
I give you, the mkII Eclipse thread! Warning! Do not attempt to repley to the thread! Repling will result in thread activation!
BEGIN WEAPON
Tactics] Eclipse-class Star Destroyer vs Federation fleet
The Eclipse class Command Ship Indefetigable, under the command of a clone of Grand Admiral Thrawn, with full flash-printing of his memories, of course, has had it's primary and backup hyperdrives disabled by a Federation saboteur, though otherwise it's fully operational. A replacement Hyperdrive and escort vessels are expected to arrive in nine hours. However, the disabling of the Indefetigable's hyperdrives was part of a well prepared trap. A massive Federation fleet is baring down upon the Indefetigable, intent on crushing the massive flagship of the Empire's invasion force, and killing their commander and brilliant strategist, in one swift stroke. The Federation fleet includes 250 Sovereign class Starships, 400 Prometheus class starships, 600 Galaxy class starships, 400 Nebulas, 100 Ambassadors, 200 Excelsiors, 500 Mirandas, 500 Akiras, 300 New Orleans, 200 Centaurs, 500 Steamrunners, 100 Norways, 1000 Defiants, and 2000 Peregrines.
However, The Indefetigable isn't out there by it's self. In it's holds, and fully combat capable, are 600 TIE Defenders, 96 Missile boats, 72 armed shuttles, and 72 armed boarding transports. Still, it isn't just numbers. The combat is taking place inside an odd star system, consisting of three massive Blue-white supergiants, and two Green large stars, all co-orbiting in a very complex system, doused with radiation. Though no planets are capable of being formed, the system is strewn with billions of asteroids and small planetoids, which combine to make sensor readings much less than spectacular.
So.. Will the Federation fleet be able to destroy the Indefetigable before the escort and ships containing it's new Hyperdrives arrive to drive them off, or will the Federation survivors be fleeing an intact Indefetigable and a squadron of ISDs?

My weapon is a concentrated fire of logic, and if it is powerful enough, it will break the triple-clad neutronium impregnated ultra-duranium Wall of Ignorance, causing the opponent to concede. However, a powerful enough beam has not been produced. It may be possible for a weaker beam, over a period of time, to break the wall.

There, there... it can't be that bad.
Okey, here's an insane thought. Localized paradoxical electrotemporal distortion bomb (screw it.... had to come up with something on the fly). Here's the deal. Variable range detonation. Think Restaurant at the End of the Universe, only a little more permanent, and a LOT more painful. Constantly being turned into plasma, dying, then reforming, just to go through it all all over again. Since it's a limited temporal window, say only 10 standard seconds, the event continues recurring indifeninitely inside the distortion, but outside time would pass as normal. The object in the field would just cease to exist in the normal timestream.
Something like this happened in an episode of TNG, the episode with Kelsey Grammar as captain of a Miranda class ship, the USS Bowman. Can't remember the name of the episode though...

Horza sat down on his haunches, hands closed round the run barrel in front of him, eyes staring out at the distant jungle. What a mess, he thought, what a fucking, obscene, stupid mess. He hadn't been thinking of what Gow had just done to herself, but he looked round at the red stain on the angled wall and the collapsed shape of Gow's suit, and thought it again.

Theory of Weapons Specialization Based on Target.
Perfect! PORN!!!! Note that weapons will have to be specialized specific to the target in order to have the Maximum Damage Effect. For Example: The MK2 Eclipse Thread won't have much damage potential toward a Christian Fundy Target, but Porn Pic Spamming should be quite the disruption. On the other hand, Porn Spam on a Sci-Fi debate forum may actually be somewhat welcome and prove to be only a slight distraction... That said, there are a few weapons that are universally effective; for example, GIANT (we're talkin 1600x1200 and up) pics or direct-link attempts to somethingawful.co* in multiple places, preferable in mass quantities. This'll have the effect of making nasty scrollies and destroying the readability of threads aside from the shock effect of what the pics could be Lata and Happy Weapons Testing!

You're bomb would be more offensive if it was in the orientation recognized as a pentagram, and not a pentacle. (Although most fundies are too stupid to realize the difference, and just assume that if you were a pentacle, you must be a devil-worshipper. Which is what I get most of the time.)
Another good idea might be song lyrics. Manson serves up some of the best quote and lyrics that seem to piss these types off. Which is irony, because he knows more about their religion than they usually do.
"And as I promised, I said I would read from the bible..." "...And if we could turn our bible to Pslams..."Happy shall he be that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones." "And if that's not the best fucking example, God HIMSELF killed his own MOTHER FUCKING SON!"-Marilyn Manson

Hear hear! What they fail to see is that a pentagram is anything 5-pointed, and a pentacle such as the one EInhander has posted is actually a good-luck one (more or less). If it wasn't a good thing, they wouldn't have put them on Tarot cards. Furthermore, only the upside-down pentacle (double-circled) is meant to be for worship of Satan (as far as I know).Lord_Xerxes wrote:You're bomb would be more offensive if it was in the orientation recognized as a pentagram, and not a pentacle. Agreed. The Pentacle to my knowledge is meant to represent the 5 elements. But both symbols were originally used interchangably for various purposes. I think the Pentgram orientation just had something to do with the alignment of the incantation or whatever (I can't recall exactly what the book I'd read said about it). But like most things different than their beliefs, Christians deluded it's meaning and made it evil. Not saying that it isn't used to represent Satan, it's just how the meanings of things change over time in representation.verilon wrote:Hear hear! Actually, from what I've heard, the Pentacle was once a Christian symbol of some sort that lost its meaning...dunno where I heard it, tho.Lord_Xerxes wrote:Agreed.
