I can't tell if this is a parody or not. As usual, that scares me.

I really hope either they or I am not part of the human race. I don't want to be lumped with them. It would kill me.

Yes, it all has to be one bing cosmic joke. There aren't really any fundies, idiots, crystal healers, michigan militias, etc. They're all just robots made to confuse and scare the hell out of us for the entertainment of some far off intersteller civilization with nothing better to do.

BWAHAHAHAHA

How can you not love this shit?

I mean literally this is borne out of people who lack confidence that they can affect small changes in their lives that would make them happier but instead cowtow to some thought that there is a greater plan thus absolving them of any responsibility to actually effect change.

This is no different then the most rabid of religous worshippers who simply just go with the flow because God has a plan for them, and feel that apathy is the way to go.

Seriously, that is the dumbest bullshit I've ever heard, and the group I usually hang with is real big on New Age bullshit. Chiropractors, Homeopathic remedies and starvation diets seem positively sensible next to this bullshit. At least chiropractors have one tiny venue where they are marginally useful. The other two are also fucking bullshit, but this...the concept that the course of our lives is determined by the music made in the year we were born is positively insane. Can we sterilize these people now, please? Preferably with Napalm, if we can find enough.

So, does this mean if you were born when Vanilla Ice was topping the charts, you'll grow up with irrational urges to steal songs from Queen? The author did have a point how his whole theory is no worse than astrology. But, when you're comparing your theory to astrology to try and legitimize it, you're probably peddling utter bullshit.

I listened to this interview on NPR - the guy was 100% FUCKING SERIOUS about it. Whether he believes it himself, or was just selling it, I'm not sure... There is a website out there...

Here we go

And apparently I'm:

1982 - The Year of Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder:
America's bloodiest war was fought over it, and some of the most shameful chapters in its history revolved around it, yet it took an Englishman to help America see just how unnecessary all of its struggles over race really were. Ebony and Ivory -- just like the piano keys! Now, why didn't we think of that? When you look today and see the racial harmony and equality that rules throughout American society, you can thank Mr. McCartney, and when you listen to the work of Stevie Wonder post-1982, you can do the same. Yes, 1982 was the Year of Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, the ill-advised Power Couple that popstrologists believe was responsible for sapping Stevie Wonder's Soul and making I Just Called To Say I Love You possible. As Dominant Stars in the popstrological era go, few offer such stark lessons as this one. And certainly one of those lessons is a critical one for the children of 1982 to heed: beware of simplistic answers when the questions you seek to answer are difficult.
