One of websites I was browsing linked to amazon with these books
link
I was wondering if any one has read these books and are they informative.
I have read Bertrand Russell's "why I am not a Christian", and am in the process of starting Russell's "The history of Western philosophy". I have read most of Darth Wong's creationism vs science page, but I personally prefer to look at a book than a computer screen, and one would hope a book would contain more info than a website.
Any one read these books on atheism?

I've read Smith's "Atheism: The Case Against God", and if you don't mind a somewhat dry read, it's quite good. It lists many of the formal 'proofs' of both a generic god and the Judeo-Christian God and explains why they are nonsense, explains why atheism does not have to prove that no gods exist, and shows that certain gods, such as the Judeo-Christian God, can be philosophically and logically (though not empirically) disproved. It even examines some related horseshit like solipsism.
If you want to brush up on the history of atheism as a concept, or on how to refute common arguments against it, this is a good pick. I'm not sure how it compares to the others, as I have not read any of them.

An Erisian Hymn:
Onward Christian Soldiers, / Onward Buddhist Priests.
Onward, Fruits of Islam, / Fight 'till you're deceased.
Fight your little battles, / Join in thickest fray;
For the Greater Glory / of Dis-cord-i-a!
Yah, yah, yah, / Yah-yah-yah-yah plfffffffft!

You might also look into 'Pagans & Christians' by Gus diZerega (sp?) - it's a fairly decent contrast/comparison between the two belief systems.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion
Through passion, I gain strength
Through strength, I gain power
Through power, I gain victory
Through victory, my chains are broken
The Force shall free me.
