`cause I've got a problem related to that which I can't solve.

It relates to the behaviour of green flourescent protein in highly acidic enviroments.
We have measured that and run into a problem with the interpretation of an addtional fit parameter needed bring measurement and model into agreement.

Most likely beyond me. I've only had theory and heard about it from others. As it is a practical question, I assume you've already checked references and the literature yourself?
