I just found this on 40konline in the Discussion section where a catholic (I assume) is defending the Vatican's ruling on contraception. He eventually says this:

It no different with Hitler’s government being responsible for the death of many jews, Slavs, gypsies, and mentally handicapped people or the Serbian “Government” in Bosina, or indeed the Canadian federal government passing law for Gays to marry

I don't really know how to describe it. Any comments?

Uhhh... how is is no different? The fact millions of people aren't being killed when gays marry seems to be a significant difference, unless you don't understand what makes those things bad in the first place.

Why don't you know how to describe it? The words "stupid asshole scumbag" seem like a perfectly adequate description. Seriously, anyone who thinks that tolerance of gays is somehow equivalent to the Nazi Holocaust is not just an idiot, he's also an asshole and a scumbag.

The wonderful effects of preaching to the Choir in action. I don't know any clergy who would openly say any such stupidity but I've seen quite a few rank and file members who openly say such asnine things in public and they get spread around the congregation as if they were doctrine.
