Alright, its got alot of the standard 'red flags' for this sort of thing, including typing in all caps and ranting about how governments are oppressing the brilliant, maverick scientists. Still, I can't seem to figure out why this can't possibly be right.

Re: Cavitating Water heater- Overunity?
I can't figure out why it can be right, It's a cool method for heating water, but there's nothing there that's going to shatter the laws of thermodynamics. Claims of overunity will probably be found as some flaw in how the energy of the system is being measured, but by then the whole finagle will have most likely been forgotten.CaptainChewbacca wrote:Link

Let's assume that they're telling the truth, that there's more energy coming into the system through the electrical motor than energy coming out of the system in the form of the heat gained by the output water. This statement only takes into account one source of energy for the apparatus, when there are actually two: the forgotten energy source is the water pressure, the release of which can be utilized to do work. For example, you can use the municipal water pressure to power a back-up sump pump.
I would need some hard numbers to be sure it works out, but I did notice that the pressure gauge on the steam outlet is pegged at 0 in the demonstration; the "steam" is coming out at almost no pressure (above atmospheric). The release of pressure liberates energy, which —in absence of external work to do by the system— must go into heat. Voila, extra, unaccounted for energy not coming from the local electric motor, but being provided by the pressure pumps at the water works.
Oh, and while you're chewing on that possibility, I'd like to point out that the demonstration apparatus contains a cycle, so that water keeps cycling about until it turns into "steam." Are they measuring the overunity in terms of total energy going in vs total heat coming out, or just an instantaneous rate of energy in vs instantaneous heat out when the pump reaches operating condition? Just wondering.
