Well, I just found out what happens when ~3300uf at 250V shorts out. I was troubleshooting a new power supply I built when I accidentally shorted out the caps with my test probe. There was a loud explosion and a blinding flash of light as caps discharged and vaporized the metal part of the test probe and sent metal bits flying across my desk. That was...interesting.
