Good science blogs

Post by Ender »

Does anyone have some good science blogs they follow regularly? I follow PZ Myers and Bad Astronomy so I was looking for things in that vein. So anything similar that covers another topic, or just any good science blogs you recommend? Here are mine

Pharyngula by PZ Myers covers evolution and biology and advancements in both. Some political commentary about the atheism and creationism.

Bad Astronomy by Phil Plait covers astronomy and space discoveries. Some political commentary about creationism, big on attacking the Moon hoaxers.

Centauri Dreams by Paul Gilster, solely focused on peer-reviewed research that pertains to possible interstellar possibilities. Nice because it takes the most recent things to pass solidly through peer review and converts them to laymen understandable chunks.

Not Even Wrong: Peter Woit on quantum gravity and other topics, links to a number of math and physics blogs, other writings and resources.

http://cosmicvariance.com/: a whole crew of physicists, including Sean Carroll, commenting on whatever it is they find interesting.

David Sloan Wilson covers multi-level selection and social evolution. And on a personal level, he is a very nice guy and I feel compelled to let people know about his blog :)

realclimate.org and johnhawks.net/weblog/ are really the only two that I follow consistently. The first link is about climate science and the second one is about biological anthropology/evolution.
