Technically the worst GHG is CO2, because the level of it in the atmosphere is the most detrimental. A much worse gas and a potential problem is CH4, as it is able to hold in 23 times as much heat as CO2. The reason it is a potential problem is because of the methane calatherates. Methane calatherates are pockets of methane deep inside the ice caps that form when organic material is decomposed by anaerobic bacteria. These pockets are huge deposits sometimes kilometers wide, and some shift in the icecaps, melting, earthquake, heavy nuclear bombardment, etc, would cause them to rupture. Enough CH4 would enter the atmosphere to create immediate effects on the climate, and the GHE would get much worse.

Err, I am confused, Shep are you saying because it's cold in Washington then global warming is a hoax? The fact that currently in Melbourne we just had a 44 fucking degree day and a 37 one tomorrow, would that mean that Global warming is true?

Oh and as for greenhouse gases, CO2 and all the rest are okay, but water vapour is king!
