Of course because I say so. It's my opinion.

You asked why shouldn't employers be able to minimize costs by discriminating against convicts. I said that it's an error to frame the discussion from the perspective of the employer, but rather take a general social perspective, and I presented examples where society HAS raised costs for employers to protect certain values. Then I made the argument that employers shouldn't discriminate against convicts (read MY OPINION), despite raised costs for employers, because it's better for society to have complete control over it's punishment system and avoid things like forcing criminals back into their old ways.
