Should the women consider the "rights" (for lack of a better word) of others when going topless in public? Do people who are offended by exposed titties have the right to make the topless women cover up? What should topless etiquette be in a public area where there's children, families, and people of all sexes & ages?

WRT the situation, my experience of these is that the complainant isn't worried at all about the effects of seeing a few pairs of boobs might have on his children. He is primarily concerned with bullying somebody into doing something they don't want to do. People like that go around looking for excuses to order other people around; if they can't find a legitimate excuse they'll make one up. So that really answers your second question; the issue is actually irrelevent. However, even if it wasn't, then he would not have the right to try and make the women cover up. Their behavior was legal, if he didn't like it the onus was on him to go elsewhere. Unfortunately behavior like his is all too common - another good example is people who move next door to an airport and then complain about the noise.

As to your first question, if behavior is legal then the women in question should not have any concern about the feelings of others. Performing an illegal action is different, then the performers of that act are under an obligation (moral and well as commonsense) to keep their act out of the public gaze. That didn't apply here.

Finally, on the issue of what should topless etiquette be in a public area be? Very simple, if one doesn't enjoy the view, one shouldn't look. Oh yes, and use plenty of sunscreen, I'm reliably informed that getting them sunburned is very painful and quite bad for their health.

Out of curiosity, does he hide this or brag about it? I know a guy, the one who made the quotes in my sig actually, who is a 50 something virgin and likes to brag about the fact; and no, he's not a priest, just a loser.

At least he wasn't dumb enough to take his kids to a nude beach. Yes, we have a nude beach in Toronto, and I imagine there's going to be hundreds of naked, stoned, and drunken people there this weekend with the Caribana festival going on. Don't you all wish you lived in Toronto?

And such a nice part of the island it is located at. It was not too crowded, and has a great view over the western city. I had a good laugh at the shield proclaiming it to be the only( or one of the few?) nude beaches of all Canada.

He doesn't talk about it either way. But he's pretty repressed in general, and not much of a talker.

The county I live in has five nude resorts. If I drive three hours I can get to the nude beach at Canaveral National Seashore. If I drive four hours I can get to Haulover Beach in Miami. If I want eye candy, I can pack up the family to Clearwater and discreetly ogle the thongs. I've noticed over and over and over that kids under 10 years old or so, like my son, just don't care about boobs or ass. They're more interested in sand castles, water, shells, fish and crabs.

And it's year-round. I like Toronto, don't get me wrong, but there are things you just can't do there in January without major shrinkage.
