He's probably not going to thank scientific advancement. He'd probably say his God saved him, he was only testing him, and a gay, femenist, or supproter of religous freedom wouldn't have survived the operation. That's just the way fundies are.

I hope the guy has a painful recoverey. Not because of religion or anything, but he's a personal asshole. His views on gays and lesbians REALLY tick me off.
