Anyone care to pick the rotting flesh from the bones of that one?Q:It is narrow-minded and exclusive to say that your God is the ONLY way to heaven!
A:I strongly dislike the word exclusive, mainly because it seems to be thought of as wrong. But just think about it for a second. All of us would agree that 2+2 is 4 (well, at least I HOPE we all would:-D ) Anyone who said differently would probably be thought of as dumb, or at least wrong. However, you don't see anyone standing out in the street with signs that say, in bold letters: "Math books narrow minded and exclusive" or "Teachers give bad grades for disagreeing with student's mathematical ideas!"
Now, I know the above examples were silly analogies, but the point remains. Everything is exclusive, to a degree. Let's take some different religions, for example. Atheism says there is no God, and obviously think they are right. Buddhism disagrees with Muslim and Hindu teachings. Even Bahai' (which prides itself for accepting all religions as Truth) excludes those who exclude other religions.
Christianity truthfully claims Jesus is the only Way to heaven. We didn't choose for that to be true; it just is. And I will not stop professing it merely because others will disagree.

Then your choice is made, and I move on to someone else.Sir Sirius wrote:Me: Why have faith? In children credulity serves a purpose, it allows them to learn new things switly, but adults should employ at least a moderate amount of healthy scepticism.jegs2 wrote:Me: "No. Exercise faith or don't. If "creationistalltheway" is still reading this, let me say one positive thing: you did a good thing by taking that fucking annoying looping-audio song off the site.
