How to make someone evil

How to make someone evil
Let's say to make someone anti-social, dissatisfied with the people around him/her, etc, one would have two options:
1. Hit the person with one giant bad/embarrassing/hateful/traumatic incident
OR
2. Hit the person, over the period of their lifetime, with numerous small jabs of the listed above.
Which is better at turning someone into an anti-social and, basically, an evil person?

I would go with option no2. How one could do it is:
1) Teach him that love gets you nothing at all but hurt.
2) Teach him that trusting someone is the last thing you ever want to do. Teach him there is no such thing as 'friends' and no one needs them, that all you ever want to do is to achieve an end for your own gain only.
These lessons need to be done over a long period of time, and the person shall be given no chance to recover. Everytime he thinks his wrong about smething and starts believing that there is some hope, hit/jab him again with another painful lesson. And slowly his faith in 'goodness' will erode.

I don't totally think either, one can nessarily bring someone to become evil. I gues it depends on will power. I could say I've had a bit of both happen to me and at best I have a darkside that does scare me sometimes.

All depends upon how they take shit.
One can either crumple or just simply shrug it off.
Literally it all depends upon a said person, since no one way is guaranteed to affect every single person in the same fashion(I've seen people cry more over losing a sandwich then losing a job...people handle things...differently)

The only way to really make a person evil is to teach them alternative standards of right and wrong in their infancy. Even then they are just acting towards what they think is the good though it might be evil. IMO to be evil a person chocses to do evil (or their fucked up good), other then brainwashing, you can't really make people evil.Ghost Rider wrote:All depends upon how they take shit.

Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

At least in the class of evil I've studied (serial killers), they're fucked up as kids and they stay that way.

I'm assuming he can't hit you back/take revenge on you. Cause why wouldn't he if your doing that to him/her? Anyway yes, people are products of thier enviornment, but why do you think that in response to this abuse he will abuse others, why not react to it some other way, by brooding/being miserable, or committing suicide?Shinova wrote:Let's say to make someone anti-social, dissatisfied with the people around him/her, etc, one would have two options:

Teach him fucked-up beliefs in a cult-like manner with extremely harsh discipline. The indoctrination techniques of religious fundies, Nazis, etc. are probably good models in terms of how to make someone evil.

Evil? Besides the fact that it doesn't really exist... it can't be created. Trust me, the universe has tried, and failed with me. In my entire fucked up childhood I've learned how to do well by <negative> example. Number one, avoid alchohol. Number two, don't ever marry someone who will treat your children like shit. Number three, take responsibility for what you do. Number four, honesty will get you where you want quicker than lying.
While it's hard to actually <make> evil, the real way to get the worst of their human nature out is this. Give them everything they've ever wanted. With no consequences, no effort, and no worries. Go ahead and take away people who actually care whether they do good or not, but make sure that those people who just want to hang out with them stick around. They'll wind up killing people because they want more excitement. They'll wind up doing drugs because they want to feel more. They'll wind up being sadistic because it's the only fun left to them.

Pardon me, I just opened a whole family-sized can o' Whoopfart. (Sorry. Some people think out loud, I think through my fingers.) Ahem, to the matter at hand -- holy shit, Tommy, you are learning from me, aren't you? I don't mean vis a vis your experiences, but your perspective on them seems to have altered since I've konwn you.Tom_Aurum wrote:Evil? But I think Tommy has it almost dead-on here. If you really want to make someone evil, give them everything they want... but here's the trick. At some point, take it all away, and make them fight to get it back You'll get one of two extremes -- they'll turn out to be the best human being in history, or they'll turn out to be among the worst.

And that all of these little candy-assed Socialist anti-war pussies are wasting their time -- a much more unpardonable injustice than war is Sissy Spacek. Sissy Spacek... just the name strikes fear into the hearts of men, and wilts the libido of even the most testosterone-endowed flannel-wearing Melissa Etheridge fan...Darth Garden Gnome wrote:I think ifCarrietaught us anything, its that the answer is #1.

You can't really make someone evil so much as put them on that path and try to steer them in the right (or wrong) direction
With women all it takes is a little demoralizing and an annihilation of their ability to trust
With men it usually revolved around taking away the things that comfort them and they believe they need and replacing it with a sense of hopelessness
Not that I'd tinker with someone's mental stae like that

Its far far easier than your making it out to be. Convince them nothing matters, one day they'll be dead and no mattert what they do they will be forgotten. So whats the point in moral behavior.

But if this person is a very optimistic, trained to be goody, goody himself person from the get go, it makes breaking this very hard.
I'd say pummel them with some devestating events at first to weaken their optimistic defense, then continue with medium to small bad things... all the while feeding him a line of cynical and evil approaches to life. That outta change them!
