A possibility, how about someone visiting that website and pretending to be a moderate christian who shares the beliefs in needing to be save by Jesus to be saved but beliving that the Genesis passages are designed for people who could not interpert the billions of years which geological evidence and that God put in the bible a loose reference. Then ask the question that if you believe that you are saved through Jesus, what does it matter if the world is over 6000 years old. I wonder how they would react?

I know that in groups similar in the past, moderate Christians who accept eveolution are ignored.

There are lots of Christians that believe this Kitsune, they just tend to be ignored by non-Christian because they are less visable. RR has a page on it's website about the earth being over 6000 years old, with the conclusion that it doesn't matter how old the earth is.

What would be fun is to post under this moderate-Christain alias on their "We That Struggle" board, encouraging some of the people who take everything bad as the devil's hand to wake the fuck up. When anyone not Christian does it, their nazis, ahem, admins, show them the door.

Rapture Ready is like radiation poisoning. Make sure you only have very limited exposure. Those boards are like a soliid uranium core, except instead of radiation, they emit stupidity.

Problem is that few of them will debate on our boards, as such our only choice is to walk into the fire to fight them. Now, if the group is only filled with Fundies, there probably is no point to it. I want to target people whos minds I can actually change.

It's like this:

Not ALL Christians are fundamentalists. The mainline Christians generally have no problem with evolution and they realize that the Bible contains many metaphores.

Since the mainline Christians obviously do not suffer from the same mental disorder that the fundies do, they don't go out and try to start debates with the evil atheists. They are not as vocal. If you go into Christian chat rooms, you will rarely see them because the fundies seem to dominate. The fundies are the ones who need constant pats on the back from other fundies.

What does that say about us then if we want constant pats on the back?

I don't see it that way, but it could easily be seen this way.

Thank God! Someone else who can tell the difference betwen your average Joe and fundies! Maybe now I wont feel alienated

Personally I could give a rat's ass about what a fundie says. Everything in the bible is up to interpretation. You can't just go say that "this and this and this" happened cause it was in the bible. That's just plain idiotic and ignores the basic principles of science as we now it. Thing is, I wish the fundies would shut up because they are the ones giving Christians bad names.
