In which case, running won't do you any good. I repeat: In a realistic scenario, firing into the crowd is the best option. In your Uber-Nightmare scenario, running is NOT an option, since you've essentially defined the crowd as being composed of psychotic, rabid maniacs that will stop at nothing to fry you and your house.

In the "Realistic" scenario, all you need is one or two shots to scatter the crowd. In your "Uber-Nightmare" scenario, you're as good as dead anyway, so you might as well take a few of the fuckers with you.
