Hypothetical: In the first terminator when he travel back in time to kill Sarah Connor, when he get to the right appartment and kill Sarah`s friend thinking she is Sarah,if SC has not called home would he had left thinking he acomplished his mission.
Do you think it could have changed the timeline from a future where SC taught her son how to fight the machine,to a future where the machine win and there is no resistance?

Well, he didn't really know it was the right Sarah Connor. He probably would have continued down the phone book list of Sarah Connors. By the time he finishes the list though, he will probably notice that the Sarah Connor that was supposed to be in the apartment was still alive.

The Terminator went through the apartment and found Sarah's photo ID badge, which is what allowed it to pick her out at Technor. It would have known it had missed its target, but probably could have relocated her via police station even without the call.
