Aids and Human Population

My Understand has been that AIDS is at epic levels all over Africa and India and China have large numbers of cases which are unreported. What do you think the end result will be?

I have read in a science magazine (I think Nature biut it has been years) that a certain amount of people are immune to HIV.

Sooner or later someone's genetic makeup is going to offer immunity to AIDs. How many people out of every 100,000 or 1,000,000 that gets HIV has this immunity is going to be important to know. AIDs seems pretty bad but not so bad that is will make any real dent in pop growth. But who knows, maybe there will be a little dent.

Immunity to AIDS is suspected to be because some people simply lack the nessarary surface proteins on their cells to be infected. Don't know the specific names of the molecues, although I could look it up again.
