I remember reading years ago Thomas Noguchi's book, in it he describes how he had the job of identifying bodies that had been washed out of their graves in a flood in southern CA. He said bodies that were embalmed well were in a remarkable state of preservation, basically missing the skin. And these were 90-100 years old.Evil Sadistic Bastard wrote:(smacks head)
Now wouldn't the corpse be completely decayed after a few years or so? The flesh should be turning black and sloughing off after the first few months.
When the body of Medgar Evers (sp?) was exhumed, the coroners showed the body to the family, he'd been buried something like 30 yrs. Then again, I've seen more recent burials exhumed (on TV) where not even the casket is intact.
