Can I just take this time to hail my Alma Mater - The Godless Institution in Bloomsbury! (first English university that didn't require its students to be CofE)71. Historically, most private colleges and universities in the US were founded by atheists; while some have become religious over the years, many of them retain close ties with atheist organizations, and some of them still use hiring practices that exclude Christians from their faculty and staff. (And this discrimination against Christians is permitted and protected by law!)
