Sorry, should read like this.
The only problem I seem to have with IE6 is that pop-up lists are visualized under the "Recent discussion forum topics" zone.
Looks good on Firefox. Better than the old one by far.

I honestly can't figure out how to fix that. I tried switching from OBJECT to IFRAME, but it didn't make any difference. I tried setting z-index in the stylesheets, and that didn't make any difference either. Quite frustrating, so I just had the Hate Mail sub-index cut off at 15 entries with a ...(more) link (that's probably a sensible move anyway, since you can't just have these sub-indexes growing forever).

Looks horrible on my old, crappy Firefox. The submenu boxes are only about an em wide with the menu items spilling transparently off the right side over the main text.

Are all the lists arranged horizontally instead of vertically? What does the left-hand side of the screen look like in IE6?
As far as I can tell, the lists are all vertical.

Whatever you did, the Hate Mail list is above the Forum Topics box now (for the little bit that goes over it).

That would require scripting, unfortunately. The way it works right now, it's pure CSS for every browser except IE6, so even people who have JavaScript turned off will see it normally.

I think I've found the problem. Let it be known that the active menus work fine on MacOS X Firefox 2.0.0.6!
(I didn't get around to seeing the snazzy new probability stuff until now. Nice! Also, the first dice-rolling widget has a mean wait time of about 11 months (350 days), and a probability of producing the correct answer in one mean solar year of ~65%. The mean time for the second widget is indeed precisely 30 seconds.)

Yeah, yeah... Anyway, I finally got sick of random myspace pages blowing my browser away and upgraded. Looks fine on Linux Firefox 2.0. But I can still test with the old Firefox if need be.
This reminds me: Some of the scripts don't work on the old browser, either. The three-of-a-kind did nothing when I clicked, and the first set of dice only updated once each time I pressed Start. No clue why, though.
OK, I just switched from IFRAME back to OBJECT tags because IFRAMES break XHTML Strict validation. IE6 users will just have to deal with those ugly borders. In the meantime, I added a flag on the main page where you can switch the active menus on and off. Please let me know if it works.

Everything seems to work fine on my IE6 equiped laptop.

I just went "live" with the upgraded version of the site. It is now at the permanent location at www.creationtheory.org instead of the temp location on stardestroyer.net.

On a side note, clicking through some of the links, the racist essay against interracial marriage has apparently been taken down from the Mormon webpage.

Works spiffy on my Firefox. Only, on your Hate Mail page, starting with Jonathan Boyd, Page 2, you seem to have some broken links. You might want to take them out, restore the content, or modify the links and text so they point to the relevant information.

Darth Wong wrote:WTF? Have you tried refreshing it, to see if it's some out-of-date support files?
Yep. Even deleted my temporary files, cookies, history, and that shift-refresh thing Starglider mentioned in the G&C thread. No dice.
If I keep clicking refresh over and over sometimes there will be a continuation of the box in between the gap and "Site Updates" will disappear. It goes back to the gap if I move my scrollbar or resize though. And, as I just found it, bring up the active menu.
It's the weirdest thing and, again, it's only the updates page and not any others, which all display just fine.

Oops! Thanks for the catch, Stark.
