Actually, Rudolph was a semi cult figure out on www.ar15.com, which
is a popular gunboard. Some of the debates there are really heated,
ranging from religion, where there are debators that would rank up
there with Wong/Durandal for their views, to pro NRA, anti NRA people,
to cops to virulent anti government types....

Oh yes, and pro israel anti israel debates flare up on there occasionally.

So don't go around wicked pilot and mike, painting "gunboards" as
hives of singular right wing group think...you'd be surprised at the
virulent differences between the members on them - the only unifying
thing between them all is that they like the AR-15 style rifles

And yes, part of Rudolph's cult figure status is because the guy
managed to elude the largest government manhunt ever done
to that point, and eluded helicopters, dogs, etc etc, and FLIR
equipped cops...for almost five years..

If there's one thing other than AR-15s that most of AR15.com
likes, it's schadenfreude at seeing the Feds fall flat on their asses for
five years, and it finally comes down to a local cop to make
the bust.

Feds moved in and basically took total and complete command of
the operation to find Rudolph, and essentially told the local cops
