I need some advice for someone I know

Average 13 year olds are only just beginning to get all sorts of strange and new feelings as the rush of hormones of puberty starts to kick in (and won’t be finished for years to come). Mental maturity isn’t the same thing as physical maturity. Also, there’s maturity, and then there’s maturity.

I don't think it really matters. There are girls that she likes right now, and whether or not that will last, she has to deal with things as they come, so she's already told her parents and I don't think that was the best idea, but that's where things stand now.

Yuri, I know it doesn't matter, which is why I carefully avioded the subject WRT the girl in question. The last thing she needs is people telling her she's too yuong to be feeling the way she feels.

BTW has someone asked Marina about this thread? She might be more helpful than me.

The way people go on about this kind of thing makes me think that American parents are uptight. That's a generalisation though, and I have to accept that my parents may just be very, very relaxed about this sort of thing.

Either way, my response is sorta' a "so what?".
