If women want to be considered equal to men then they should be treated the same. I have no problem with hitting girls and don’t see one. I've hit a girl once after she threw a brick at me for some fucking reason. I knocked her on her ass in one blow.

My philosophy is that I won't hit a lady. If some female takes a swing at me first, then they have demonstrated they are not a lady. Other than sparring, I will never hit first.

My philosophy is even simpler: don't hit unless there's a threat to family, self, or valued property (i.e. I will defend my house with violence, but not my candy bar; not even a Carmello). Anything that reaches that point has eliminated any taboo regarding race, color, sexual preference, or gender.

You want to deal with this person? Know your enemy. If this was a guy and you wanted to rile him up, you'd make cracks about his penis size or his sexual performance. You know the general weaknesses. Find the same thing for this person. Ask her if she's going for the whole goatee or just the mustache. Comment on her flatulence when you enter her office/cubicle. Squint at her and ask if unibrows run in her family. The point is, if you're engaging the enemy on their ground, known their weaknesses.

I've personaly never hit a girl/woman.......however I have pinned one woman to the wall by the throat with her toes dangeling several inches from the floor. This was only after ingnoring the five punches to my head she made, after the sixth punch something snaped in me and before I knew it I had her against the wall. As soon as I realized that she could no longer breath I let her go. It was rather scary situation where I lost control of myself. Afterwards I told her to never touch me again. (Guess what...she never came close to me afterwards hmmm.. I wonder why)

As to the question of "to hit or not to hit" for I vote no, unless for direct self defense. However reduceing the said "girl/woman" to a crumpled emotional ball of crap thru psyco terrorism is a much valued revenge technic that I practice to this day with my foes. Emotional scars a much more longer in healing..and more painful too

I view an opponent as that...all my martial artist training essentially took away she's a woman=weak.

I've seen women easily kick butt take names...but as for me not wanting to hit them in general, that's because of who I am...but in the instant of any combat...sorry, does not matter.

My personal opinion is that they're fair game as soon as they get physical with me. It goes back to the gender equality issues that data_link mentioned on the first page. If a person acts in a manner where s/he deserves a good smack, then that person's gonna get a good smack, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation or whatever else they want to drag up. From my personal experience, and yours will vary, I've found that far too many women (and people in general) are willing to take advantage of society's unwritten rules. They act disrespectfully and expect that the unwritten rules of society will shield them from reprisal, this is wrong, and I don't think it should be allowed to happen.

Which is why if a woman did something to me that a guy won't get away with, she ain't gonna get away with it either. In case you want to know, I have hit a couple girls in my time, and both of them deserved every bit of it.

I had, and still have enough playfights with the swimmer girls I know, including my GF. We have no issues punching each other in the arm and wrestling each other to the ground. It gets pretty enthusiastic at times and we've ended up with bruises from doing this.

And I've hit girls....never in the face though. I have a problem with hitting girls in the face. Maybe because my dad did it to my mom all the time. *shrug* But socking them in the arm, kicking them in the shins, stomping on their feet...all feasable.

Exactly. Plus I am an extreme soccer fan. Not that I keep up with it, I just really like it. And the more extreme, the more hurt is needed. If you absolutely HAVE to, go for the boobs.

I wouldn't hit a woman unless she swung at me first. The same goes for men. However with a guy I'd basically do as much damage as I can once he has, with a woman I'd just try and finish it.

What is THAT supposed to mean? Every girl I've ever talked to (my mom inclusive) has said that the breasts are incredibly sensitive.
