Yes. These little dust particles would be boosted in kinetic energy. Imagine the kind of gravity field in which a photon would be blueshifted into gamma rays. The dust grain would gain the same energy as it would falling through the same field. OUCH!

Of course, you could always increase the tidal forces in front to turn the dust into atoms, which are ionizable and can be dealt with in the usual way. Though it would make things interesting for any ships that get in your way. (The Kzinti Lesson: "Any interesting space drive is a weapon of mass destruction. It only matters how long you want to wait for maximum damage.")
