but it isnt no force, its no net force. two different things entirely. energy has no direction in this sense.
i know what he is arguing, so once again, put it to the challenge if no net force= no energy, then striking his knee in two equally opposite places with the same amount of force with a hammer (or crowbar or axe, your call really) shouldnt cause his knee to break/be cut in two/hurt alot. have him test it and get back to us.
