If that were true cultural anthropology would be a waste of time.

I did?
yes:
Have you directly observed events which could only be explained in the context of your religion, i.e. magic?
Somewhat, but not all of it can be considered magic.
So what was the “somewhat”?
Would you be willing to describe these experiences in detail?
Not sure what you mean.
What I mean is, describe in detail as you would for a report. For example, where were you when you saw the dragon? What exactly were you doing? Were you still on the computer chatting with your boyfriend? What time was it? Were you tired? Was this during another bout of insomnia? When was the last time you had eaten? What did the dragon look like? Was it large or small? Did it appear to be solid and well defined, as if it existed in the same space as everything else, or was it transparent or blurred or “hazy”? Did the dragon interact with the environment in any way, i.e. did it appear to touch anything, sit or stand on a surface, move around objects, or was it simply floating or perhaps moving through objects? How did it interact with light? Did it move or appear to be alive, or was it unmoving? Did it make any noise? Did it have an odor? What were you thinking and feeling immediately before the visitation? What were you thinking and feeling during? After? Did you have a sense of spiritual awareness or connection during the visitation? (I know that is vague, but without real time interaction it is difficult to communicate the idea, and in fact that… no, no rambling) Did your perception of reality or time seem different while you were having this experience? How did you know this was your guardian? What other details did I not think to ask about?

I would like for you to describe any experiences you have had with the metaphysical with as much detail as you can, as if you were telling a story. I know nothing about the second encounter except you were lying on your bed and evidently spoke something and summoned the familiar. Tell me what happened. What about other supernatural experiences you have had?

And one last question: what is “ne”? That was not a normal French usage.

edit: O.K., that was hard on the eyes, mine anyway, so your words are now colored. Also, I just noticed, I'm not a newbie anymore, neato, and it only took me, what, 6½ months?

Sorry. I think I misread that somehow. Well, not entirely [just] my religion... very hard-pressed to find people willing to say they can visualize events of the future, or events of past lives, or even future ones, and still consider themselves of a different religion. Of course, this may be my lack of interaction with those of other religions, though. More than likely so, in fact.

I'll have to answer that one later, after I've had some sleep. Second allnighter in a row = bad for ver.

More of a Japanese thing. :) "ne" refers to, "correct?" or "right?" in the context I use it in.

Also, guardians are not familiars. Not sure what the difference is, but they're not familiars. I think familiars are guides, whereas guardians are protectors.
