Okay, remember the idea about how cousins shouldn't marry?

Well making us all genetically identical (as in, no diversity) will escalate that to a species wide level, wouldn't it?

And I thought we were all of the same race: Human, as in Homo Sapiens
What creed everyone is is another matter altogether, but why should we necessarily change it into one? There being different creeds is not an issue. The issue is that there are some motherfuckers that can't get this through their thick skull.

The OP said nothing of making us all genetically identicle, only of changing our appearances, and intellectual capacities. I don't see why this would really destroy genetic diversity. It's only altering certain parts of you, it doesn't make everything the same.

THe OP did say that through genetics, one would alter people so that they all had similar phenotypes. This would undeniably reduce genetic diversity. This isn't just some plastic surgery appearance change. People really aren't going to be that different.

Inbreeding is only a problem because it increases the odds that recessive, harmful genes will be expressed. The reduced genetic diversity when it comes to appearance and intelligence should not pose any harm that way.

It would reduce it, but I don't think that it would do so in such a significant way as we would believe.
