List arguments for why Religion and Govt. should be separate

This argument reminds me of why it's good not to be an American. I have never taken an oath to give a flying fuck what the Founding Fathers believed, so while I may disagree with him on his interpretations and appeals to tradition, I see no reason to fill up many pages arguing about it at the expense of the real issue, which is the morality of the situation.
