If the fundies succeed in taking over the United States of America, what do you think we should do, rebel or escape? If you want to rebel, how would you do it?

Me, I would prefer hacking to create mass distrust...

Well, I'd imagine that most of the Americans on this board would quickly locate Mike's house and use it as a staging area for the Underground Railroad and as a staging area for the effort to take back our beloved nation..

I say escape and do raids on them, forcing them to expend recources to capture/kill us, but since we would proboly not have a fixed command center wer would hop around forming terrorist cells.

But in reality Europe would have to re militarise real quick because you just know the fundies would cast their beady little eyes across the pond and come after the heretics and to expand their holy empire. That's what fundies do when they get power isn't it?

Yeah? They banned evolution. They banned all free thought deviant from the Bible. They banned women from exercise, from jobs outside the home, banned women from wearing pants in churches, and banned interracial marriages.

If a literal interpretation of the Bible is established, it would be a cross between the Deep South in the 50's, and the European Dark Ages. My freedoms woul;d probably be infringed upon, so I'd leave the country. Fortunately, such Fundies won't take over the country.

You don't have to do anything. With all the book burnings and mass diaspora of scientists from the US, the country will lose all its technological edge, and when the United States of Europe invade, it'll fucked. Lesson from Nazi Germany: Don't drive away all of your scientists.

I say rebellion. We can definitely get aid from Europe (AFAIK, they're virulently anti-fundie). I've got contacts in France, Colombia, and Russia who might be able to help (especially since the Russian guy's a hacker). And I know there's some useful stuff at my dad's work. Only problem would be getting in there...I know of three layers of security, and I'm almost sure there's one or two more, suspicious about another two. Getting around all of them would be hard.

If they take over, fine. All the reasonable people can move somewhere else (probably the West coast) and start a new country. We can write a plain-English constitution full of examples and with as few loopholes as possible.

They won't understand how to use it. Besides, some of the companies supposedly have stuff higher-tech than what the military has. XM-777s, O'Dwyer VLEs, Trap T-2s...heck, the Winnie's got a 5-inch gun that can hit targets 13 miles inshore (they're working on stretching it to 63 miles). As long as not everything goes over (which I doubt it would), superior combat knowledge on the non-fundie side should win out.

*Loads .22 Rifle rounds and gulps* It's a long way too Canada and I'm in the Bible Belt. I go too Mexico and rent a boat too Canada. But in West California they are Fundies that could immeadiately attack the West. As for the Military most would gear up and respectfully leave or destroy their equipment if it's a coup d'etat and not Bush doing this. Otherwise, the Joint Chiefs will probably dismantle the military.
