Confessions of a former Christian; a nice contrasting vid

Post by Fire Fly »

Video link

I've never been a Christian and for me, it was difficult to see how a Christian might see the world but this video really highlights what a Christian would believe. It nicely contrasts Christianity and reason and I would highly recommend people to watch the short clip; it is not my video.

It's like hearing a recovering alcoholic speak about his addiction. The confession is frightenly similar, and I think this similarity is no coincidence.

Millions of people are already addicted, and withdrawal is hard, but worth it.

Though the posts remind me of an XKCD cartoon: there's stupid, and then there's comment on Youtube stupid.
Every day is victory.

Personally, I always thought it was pretty obvious that this is how fundies think. Maybe they try to sound reasonable when they debate, but they will inevitably reveal their thought processes, whether they want to or not. It's nice to see someone acknowledge that he was an idiot, but for me, I didn't learn anything I didn't already know.
