What does everyone think of these? They can fuse Deuterium fuel with less input energy then Toks or standard Inertial Confinement. Incase you don't know wtf I'm talking about, heres a few links
fusor.net (more a wankfest then a serious website)
http://www.farnovision.com/chronicles/f ... latos.html (another wankfest but with more theory and info)
http://www.richmond.infi.net/%7Erhull/highenergy002.htm (Richard Hulls website, hes a big IEC amateur tester)
http://www.belljar.net/634fusor.pdf (article by Mr. Hull)
http://fti.neep.wisc.edu/iec/MainPage/ftisite1.htm (University of Wisconsin IEC lab homepage)
Opinions? Personally I think with more work it might actually be the best hope for fusion power. Megnetic confinement is so costly when it comes to input energy and ICF hasn't proven to be cheap enough..

Umm, why are you posting these if you know they're mostly wankfests?

no, they havent broken even yet. but they have the highest input-output that i know of. *edit* theres some reports that Farnsworth was able to achieve self sustained fusion for 30 some odd seconds which, if true, makes IEC the only design capable of doing so (other then stars )
and im posting them because their technical info isnt bad, just the whole technology "ignored for decades" and "betrayed scientist" thing makes it seem more like Alex Chiu then anything else. Thats not to say its incorrect (after all, the race to nuclear fission plants was heated and GA etc didnt need competition from fusion that was cheaper)
but it makes it soap-operaish.
