Any ideas?

I was thinking earlier (yes, I do think), why is it that Protestant fundies and slurs and crimes committed by Protestants seem to be more prominent/numerous than those of Catholics? I know that many out here don't like Catholics much, but it is rare for me to see/hear of an event where a Catholic has lashed out in such a way as the Protestants have.

Actually, the Catholic Church has been and still is by far the worst of the two. Now, neither are angels but the Catholic Church has the Crusades, the Inquisition and other major atrocities.

I never said it wasn't the worse of the two. In recent terms, why are Protestants seeming more prominent?

The U.S. is predominantly protestant. Fundies exercise their freedom of speech with more vigor. And if your church was afflicted with a reputation like the RC, you'd keep your head down, too. I suspect things are a little different in, say, Africa.

And if the person committing the crime is of a non-fundie religion, (say Episcopalian, for instance) the fundies will make sure everyone hears about it.

The Post-Reformation cults that split off from Roman Catholicism tend to be more intollerant against things that contradict their false doctrines. Catholics just seem to deal with it for the most part.

And I for one respect Catholicism a hell of a lot more than its bastard sects...
