Christian Anti-Communism Crusade

Post by DPDarkPrimus »

There is there homepage. I came across it doing research on anti-Communist propaganda and the persecution of Communists during the 1950s-60s in the United States.

Check out the site, it's good for a few laughs.

For a bigger chill, check out the Bookshelf page. Here, you will find books such as Shattering the Myths of Darwinism and AIDS: What the Government Isn't Telling You. It's pretty easy to judge their intelligence...

Hey, as long as there are still people out there who think communism is a good idea, I'm willing to put up with a few fanatics who are opposed to them. I would rather deal with too many anti-communist fanatics than too few of them.

True dat, Durran!

Hell, the difference between Christian fundies and orthodox Communists is slim-

Just substitute Heaven with a classless society, God with Marx, the Devil with the Bourgousie, and the Church with the Party, and you have Communism! It's the same as christianity, really: An obstacle course with a prize a the end

(thanks, Arundhati Roy!)

I say throw them all out.

Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under communism, it's just the opposite.

Oh, crap! Why isn't there a secular Anti-Communist crusade?

Meanwhile, there's better Anti-Communist sites out there.

Well, I agree that Marx's conception of history is hopelessly utopian, but I think what people often miss is that Marx's thought is much broader than silly claims about how the state will wither away and how we will all live in pastoral bliss. When these fundamentalists complain about Marxists in American universities, what they don't understand is that scholars can study Marx as a theorist of power, or as a philosopher of how human ethical subjectivity is created, without believing that communisim is historicaly inevitable or that we should try to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat. It is certainly foolish to dogmatically defend some of Marx's unworkable political perscriptions, but it is equally foolish to completely dismiss him, when many aspects of his thought are so brilliant and influential across the social sciences.

The Museum of Communism is good but I wish it were a little more complete.
